Admiral Croissant Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 We received a message concerning this wonderful and original Paper Pirate MOC: Other minifigs can be found on his webpage here (but no more pirates). This website also contains the blueprints which you can download. Author's information: Hello there! Ever since I can imagine, I've been a big lego fan and I still love playing with the little plastic bricks. I'm always amazed of some of the awesome MOCs people make on Classic-Pirates.com and other MOC sites! Another big hobby of mine is papercraft, and a while ago I thought: "let's combine those two to make my favourite lego minifigs out of paper!" ;o) I already made several papercraft lego minifigs but the first one was captain redbeard (called kapitein Knoest in Dutch) because that's probably still my favourite minifig of all time! ;o) Although technically it's not lego of course, but I hope you and the readers of Classic-Pirates.com still like it! I really enjoy making papercraft models of all kinds of things, and I'm finding the papercraft minifigs a lot of fun to make, so I hope to make many more in the future! greetz, ninjatoes That deserves a place on the blog [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp] Quote
Karlo Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 This is so awesome and he did a really nice job, they look so real Quote
Big Cam Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 That honestly blows my mind, everything looks so exact and to proper scale. Impressive. Quote
Bjornu Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Cool, would love to have some blueprints ! Quote
Corweena Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 wowzers. didn't think they were made of paper at first, they look that realistic. Quote
BrickPerfection Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Looks really impressive on the pics, but I can't really see what these should be good for other than catching dust. I had a brief look through the instructions and it seems really tricky to put together correctly. Quote
Bart Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 maybe its just me but it looks like a digitalised picture .. don't see any 'paper' or signs that its made out of paper. Bart Quote
Toadtorrent Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 (edited) Cool, would love to have some blueprints ! .. don't see any 'paper' or signs that its made out of paper. The first pic is a link to the site which has the parts templates and instructions for all the models...he actually has a Ghost, Mtron and Blacktron figures...very very cool stuff!! Bart Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 The scale fooled me, I thought it was minifig size. But judging by the pictures in the assembly manual, only the head itself already has a diameter of 20 cm, which would make the whole figure about 80 cm tall? Bart Quote
mali Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 Those are really cool, well done. I wonder if he uses Pepakura or is it hand made somehow? Quote

On this picture you can compare the size to a normal minifig: Quote
SirSven7 Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 This is really good,I have no idea how he made it, apart from the hat the rest of it looks just like a normal minifig (and its huge) I want one Quote
