Corioso Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 (edited) Pirates-figures on a scale of 5:1. Hi, everyone! This is my first MOC at Classic-Pirates.com. I decided to make 6 LEGO-figures on a scale 5:1. Original: Guardsman: I made 2 guardsmen: Officer/drummer: Governor-General: All soldiers: Brickbeard: A sweet parrot : Governor's daughter: That`s where the gouvernor points with his sword! He orders the soldiers to rescue his daughter from the Big Bad Pirate! Seize him!!! And now a "bonus" Making such "gigafigures" turned out to be quite exiting. I think this won`t be my only work of the kind. Edited March 2, 2011 by Corioso Quote
Captain Blackmoor Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 This is very original, the figures look great! I would only ask you to resize your pictures to a maximum of 800x600. This way the page loads faster and the pictures will be better visible on small screens. Irfanview is a great program to resize pictures. And it's free. Quote
Wout Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 It looks great. Well done. Gouvernor: "Seize him" Gouvernor's daughter: "But Daddy, He's my fiancee! " Quote
Erdbeereis Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Those are clever! Like Blackomoor said, it would be great if you could resize your pictures so that they load quicker. Welcome to the website! Quote
Corioso Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Captain Blackmoor, Erdbeereis, Wout, thank you for appreciation and for useful advice. I`ll follow it. Quote
Skalldyr Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Wow, such an interesting work. I love them and I blog them....when the pictures are scaled-down. [bloggedcp][/bloggedcp]...soon! Quote
Corioso Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 Skalldyr, I scaled the pictures! Quote
Dan the Brickman Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 The drummer and governor's daughter are my favorite. Quote
BrickPerfection Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 What a great way to introduce yourself to Classic-Pirates! Of course your figures have the advantage of better proportions compared to the "fat" minifigures yet it's still obvious that you took inspiration from those in the 2009 Pirates line. The only think that bothers me is that they cannot be posed and look a little fragile. Quote
Corioso Posted February 28, 2011 Author Posted February 28, 2011 Perfectionist, they are indeed rather fragile, but they can stand on a shelf and won`t fall . Quote
