PenPlays Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 The UK getting the sets two months before us? Okay. I really hope that's not going to happen. The update of the US site does seem to indicate an earlier release, though. Judging by the fact that Elves, and Speed Champions are confirmed for March, it's very likely to happen. Quote
DuckBricks Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 The two "worlds" are indeed connected. If I'm not mistaken Invizable (who is now a villain in the UA theme) first appeared in Ninjago (I don't remember if it was a video game or a cartoon episode). Also Ultra Agent theme seems connected with Galaxy Squad too. For example, it appears Solomon Blaze was a member of Galaxy Squad before joining UA ranks I believe you are mistaken, Invizable is a new character this year... Besides, the character description for him in UA and in Ninjago differs.... In UA he was a billionaire who was turned invisible and seeks revenge, in Ninjago he is a descendant of the Master of Light and he was born with powers. Quote

Perhaps I am, perhaps I'm not They just expanded the character's story. Or simply, same character, different universe Like the various "versions" of the same characters from parallel universes. Tbh, it's not that important to me, since I always create my own stories and I rarely set them in the "official universe" Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Same, sometimes my stories parallel the official story, but I like to change it up sometimes. Quote

I though you meant Invizable was originally a Ninjago character and has a cameo in UA, which he isn't, as he originated from UA (remember that the UA sets are out in Europe, and in the TV show Invizable is just a cameo... BrickSev Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) Same, sometimes my stories parallel the official story, but I like to change it up sometimes. That's what makes our hobby so great With our bricks we can "build" our own little universe. Every set we build can tell infinite stories. I wish I had the time to make/complete a couple of very large stories. I have several ideas but creating the scenes and turn them into comics or videos require so much time EDIT: Sorry, I misunderstood your original post. I though you meant Invizable was originally a Ninjago character and has a cameo in UA, which he isn't, as he originated from UA (remember that the UA sets are out in Europe, and in the TV show Invizable is just a cameo... No problem I just wanted to say the character has a cameo and thus we find him in both "universes". Sometimes I type too quickly, so my wording may not be very, you know, accurate lol Edited January 13, 2015 by BrickSev Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 If anyone is attending the London Toy Fair and can provide us with some details on the Ultra Agents summer sets, that would be super. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 According to Brick Fanatics this is not the final year for Ultra Agents since they didn't mention anything about this being the final wave, not like chima. http://brickfanatics.co.uk/london-toy-fair-2015-report/ Quote

BrickBuilder3213 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Just when I thought that I would be able to afford Bionicle 2016 sets. Typical. Quote
BrickSev Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Just when I thought that I would be able to afford Bionicle 2016 sets. Typical. I know that feeling This is my year so far: I started with SW then I noticed Fantasy/historic lines will be gone soon and I decided to go with those projects too, then I saw new UA sets and I had to get them etc etc and not even a full month has been passed lol Quote

Simply no comment that it is only a 2 shot line. Although it would not surprise me to see it go to three waves especially with what would otherwise be in house action themes Adventurers and Monsters being covered by licensed themes and Undersea stuff looming in City. In modern times it is almost unheard of however for a TLG sub theme to go beyond 3 unless it is one of their massive multimedia themes like Chima or Ninjago. Granted they have invested some interesting development tech into Ultra Agents with those new app bricks. So maybe one more release cycle to work the bugs out? But those are fully portable that can be used for any theme eventually. Quote

It occurred to me recently that since it seems the primary factor in the function of the app bricks is their position relative to one another, fans could conceivably create homebrew software that utilizes the app bricks even if Lego themselves don't pursue the idea further. Not sure whether that'd happen, since Lego fan software typically takes the form of CAD programs and the like... but maybe could be an interesting project for a programmer out there. Quote
Zergos Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I love that we're getting the electric villain in the cheapest set! Day 1 buy for me for sure!! :D Quote
TPLSTER21 Posted January 21, 2015 Author Posted January 21, 2015 Confirmed that Ultrasonic Showdown is the jet that we saw in the app trailer. Smallest set at 17.99 pounds so should be between 175-200 pieces give or take. Antimatter base looks to be smallish to at 49.99 pounds. I hope that set comes with some sort of vehicle for the Agents as the description on the base itself mentioned it wasn't that substantial. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Hopefully we'll get some new agents on those sets. Quote

Wonkyeye1 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Prelims for the two bigger sets: http://vk.com/lego_ultra_agents Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Terabyte's back! Without his helmet, though...(unless he's a placeholder) Antimatter's base looks great, but Solomon Blaze should be shunned. How'd he let himself get captured. So the Break Jaw helmet villain is in this set. The lightning villain (so he's not Ultrasonic after all) is in the HQ, and the jetpack in the set is absurdly bulky. That boat looks amazing. Quote
just2good Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Maybe the lightning guy is in both sets? Quote
ghostmind Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 "Batteries not included" notice on both sets. Wonder what that is for??? Quote
Ezekiel2517 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Oh my god! Its that Robot Jaw guy from Agents! Quote
