The Leg printing is off onwht would be her left leg, which is on the right of the photo...it looks fake. I can't imagine Lego would put that little detail into her fig.

This dealer always seems to get minifigures before the release date so I doubt it's fake

The helmet seems somewhat taller than I would have thought, rather like the Phase 2 helmet mould, but it's a minor quibble and I look forward to seeing the minifigure without a helmet and in high definition

I find it funny how people complain about "spoilers" here, the Force Awakens sets belong in this thread so obviously it will be "spoilers" and if you're really that anal about not knowing a single thing then you should just avoid this topic

You are partly right, of course, but consider that if this was simply a "news" thread and not a deep discussion thread, the posts would [or should] be limited to factual, Lego related news only. If you look back through several pages you will see that the discussions and speculations wanders wildly off topic of 'known' sets (there is, after all, a "future sets you want to see" type of thread elsewhere) and into the lore and rumors of the film itself. For instance, the Captain Phasma discussion. If gender was never discussed then there would be a nice 'surprise' for people when they eventually saw the film, I'm sure. Respecting people's right "not to know" is just good ettiquette, when the discussions can be purely about what we see and not involve filling in any background detail.

But back to the point of this thread. Thanks Lego Freak for the comparison view of the shuttle. This is definitely one occasion where the new set is a marked improvement over the old (with a price point to match). I agree with the observation that the ramp is set too far back, but if you remember from the film, the ramp was also bloody steep. I was surprised that the Emperor didn't need a stannah sair lift to get on and off, and Vader probably had to have dents polished out of his helmet on a couple of occasions because of the clearance under the cockpit nose. . . [it can't be a spoiler if the film is over 30 year old! ]

And thanks to amazingbricks for the Sith Infiltrator box image. That set is kinda growing on me again.

The fact that Captain Phasma is played by Gwendoline Christie has been officially confirmed (http://www.vanityfair.com/magazine/2015/05/gwendoline-christie-star-wars) , so unless under the helmet she is some kind of male alien, the Phasma's gender can now also be considered as officially confirmed.

I'd imagine Lego could possibly do a chrome version of Captain Phasma for a May the 4th promotion, it seems almot fitting, unless they have something else planned instead.

Anyways, is anyone a master at photoshop, and could recolour the Captain Phasma image so the armour is white? Would like to see what the First Order Stormtrooper would look like!

I'm liking the Phasma figure! I'm guessing she'll be included either in the Stormtrooper Transport or Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle.

Her eyes are a little too far apart and (from the blurry picture) it looks like the helmet doesn't quite achieve the Roman-esque helmet shape, but it's very good. I wouldn't expect LEGO to make two entirely different helmet molds for the Stormtrooper and for Phasma.

What's Roman about that helmet?

Again, you miss the point. This is a Lego forum, not a Star Wars character discussion forum. Who plays whom in the film should be completely irrelavant here. :hmpf_bad:

If anything, it is Spartan-esque . . . and it's still isn't even that. I'm not at all surprised that it is PLG in colour (as I predicted a few days ago). It is more stable (as people have pointed out re flaking of the chrome pieces), and therefore more easy to mass manufacture (I would imagine that chrome figures have a higher rejection rate at the QC stage), but it does leave the door open for a limited chrome polybag figure (again, as I predicted) maybe next year.

So many good figures in that video. That pre-chromed C-3PO might just be the best version of that figure I've ever seen.

Ugnaughts, Shmi Skywalker, Battle scene Padme, Chrome topped R2, a couple more rebel helmet variations

The video layed the boot into the PT so badly it was hilarious. RED FLAGS!!! RED FLAGS!!!

Errr, actually it a Lego Star Wars Forum. You guys know what the PM function is for? Getting fed up of seeing people fighting about trivial drival.

I guess I'm more leaning to Spartan. The shape of the bottom and the slight angle to the front give me that sort of vibe. I could be crazy, that's just how it looks to me.

Captain Phasma looks really good! I don't mind not having it in chrome because it would look off with my other figures. C-3PO is not in chrome, so another non-chrome would be fine.

You're welcome NNOPMOC. I wasn't sure if anyone posted it, I don't follow this discussion often. As for not getting a chrome captain phasma, I'm not mad about it at all. We only got one chrome c3po and that was a promotional thing. I say that we will get a chrome captain phasma in the future. I'm glad they went with the pearl silver color just like they've been doing for c3po with pearl gold.

Battle-scene Padme was just Padme's head on Panaka's/Flash Speeder Security Officer's body, nothing new there (she's again in the same outfit at the start of the AOTC segment). :sceptic:

It really ripped on TPM & AOTC! And lots of 'em were valid points, too

I really don't mind non-chrome R2. His head was never chrome in the films to begin with, more 'brushed steel'; only Kenner & other merchandise gave him a chrome noggin. TPM 3PO looked great tho... I worry the print on the head might be too tricky for Legos' machines, tho. We'll probably find out eventually! Also liked Maul's extended saber hilt--wish they'd make that element! The Mystery Guy who abducts R2 sure looks like Lando...

Anyhoo... I've seen some folks calling the Phasma leak 'fake' around the web, usually calling out non-issues like the lack of a cape or the guy's lack of knowledge about who/what Phasma is on his point about the minifig, or lack of detail, but it seems comparable to what details we see in the teasers & whatnot (Phasma's armor looks a bit fancier than, say, Finn's, but that's primarily due to the chrome), and obviously a leaked figure doesn't mean it'd absolutely have all accessories with it. The alternative is someone is a big enough fan to customize that figure--including a custom helmet sculpt--but not big enough to know the character's name, gender, or that she's not a clone.

Is it just me, or is this link showing "private" for everyone else too? Or maybe I'm just a noob to these kinds of videos...

Oh haha they made it private. Oh well.

Haha, I love how they made fun of TPM and AOTC. And Jar Jar getting shot twice... also Mace Windu's "I've had it with these blasted droids on this barren planet", now they just need a Pulp Fiction reference somewhere as well.

Getting a few more of those aliens shown in the video in sets would be nice, too. Hopefully we'll get some cool alien species, both new and old, in the TFA sets.

In a forum dedicated to STAR WARS merchandise and discussing Star Wars toys, the right to spoil weighs more than the right not to be exposed to spoilers. This is the internet. Aside from naughty stuff, as it seems, its purpose is to exchange information, not to go out of ones way not to expose information.
