Bob De Quatre Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 My entry for the 14x14x6 small starfighter contest on flickr. Decided to make a little story behind the build. Hope you like it. "Makoban was a powerful sith inquisitor during the Old Republic era. She wielded a lightsaber, which blade was altered by her Force lightning abilities." "She piloted an unknown fighter, agile and small, it was also equipped with many weapons that made her a dreadful opponent both on land and in space." And it fits in a 14x14x5 studs box Quote
ManInATopHat Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Wow, excellent build, and cool story to go along with it! I love your minifigure, the detail is good, and the thruster engines look spectacular. Very impressive work, Bob! Quote

Fuppylodders Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 The ship looks wider than 14x14? Either way, it looks a pretty damn neat lil thing! Lots of greebles packed into it. And I do like the Sith Inquisitor =D nice job =D Quote

markus1984 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Absolut stunning work Bob!!! I'm excited about the technique on the ship! So small and yet extremely complex and detailed. Love it, geat colour and the fold up function is superb! good luck at the contest. markus Quote
MontyPython Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Very nice. Nobody expects Sith Inquisition. Quote

That was a challenge, as I wanted to have a complete cockpit, with a seat and controls, and most of the canopies I own are big for that contest. Here is a view of the cockpit: Very nice. Nobody expects Sith Inquisition. Thanks Monty Edited July 14, 2014 by Bob De Quatre Quote
Zaael Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Very nice!! You would have my vote if I knew where to vote, if even possible. Quote

Bob De Quatre Posted July 16, 2014 Author Posted July 16, 2014 Very nice!! You would have my vote if I knew where to vote, if even possible. I don't even know how this will be judged Great Sith! and great Ship too, I Gotta Ask, what Server are you on (if you stil play SWTOR) Very well done! I stopped playing quite quickly in fact. Playing that game inspired me to build the Zenith, so didn't have much time to play Very nicely done! I especially love those SNOT wings. Thanks, I wanted to add more shapes to the wings, but was limited by the space available in that tiny 14x14x6 studs Quote
lightningtiger Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 AWESOME build there 'BDQ', I really like the SNOT wings.....nice and clean plus very Sith like except......it's very bright ! Brick On 'BDQ' ! Quote

Brick On 'BDQ' ! Thanks 'LT'. Why do you say it's very bright? Is that a joke I don't get or something... Quote
Robianco Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 Thanks 'LT'. Why do you say it's very bright? Is that a joke I don't get or something... I think it's just that the ship is white, red and grey... similar to a Jedi ship... rather than the darker colours of a Sith ship. Not something I spotted at first though as I was too busy enjoying the build! ;) Quote
Venkefedo Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 I think it's just that the ship is white, red and grey... similar to a Jedi ship... rather than the darker colours of a Sith ship. Not something I spotted at first though as I was too busy enjoying the build! ;) Makoban is just demonstrating that the Sith need not be so monochromatic & dreary with everything black, black, and more black… she worries that if they keep it up, every Sith Lord in the Sith Empire and beyond, for thousands of years, will just do everything in black! That's a fun little ship! Given the colors, it could easily work as a Jedi/Republic fighter, too… but the Republic could stand to mix up its colors as well! Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted July 18, 2014 Author Posted July 18, 2014 Thanks. It's true the ship's colors works for Republic too... But that's the only colors I got And honestly I build the fighter for the contest, and then decided to give it a story... And for once I wanted to have a "bad guy" minifig. Quote
Blackice200 Posted July 18, 2014 Posted July 18, 2014 Like what's already been said, the cockpit is amazing! Good luck! Quote
Dapper-D2 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 Very nice. I especially like all the details in that tiny cockpit. Quote
grum64 Posted July 19, 2014 Posted July 19, 2014 (edited) Everything about this is just stunning. Small really is beautiful. Edited July 19, 2014 by grum64 Quote
Brickboy123 Posted July 20, 2014 Posted July 20, 2014 WHOA!!! Nice Model!!! I really like the landing pad for the model as well!!! Great job Quote

But that's the only colors I got And honestly I build the fighter for the contest, and then decided to give it a story... And for once I wanted to have a "bad guy" minifig. I wasn't saying that I thought it needed changing!... As I said it wasn't something that I actually noticed in the build as the colours seemed to match Makoban anyway... it was more just explaining lightningtiger's comment... or at least what I thought he meant by it! :) Quote
