TNT apples Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Hello there everyone! After watching The Lego movie on the 9th, I noticed that in the movie, Metalbeard has some differences to the Metalbeard in the set: 70802- Metalbeard's Duel. I decided to change it to be more "Movie-accurate" (I apologise for the bad quality photos) Front: Back: I noticed there was a 2x4 dark grey plate on his back in the movie: Source image: Hope you like my 'mod' Quote
Lyichir Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 A decent start, but to make him truly movie-accurate he still needs some more changes. Most noticeably, you need to swap the gears on his shoulders for the crown gears used in the movie. Quote

KazeMonsuta Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I noticed something else: The small slpes on his legs are light bley in the source image. In the set, they are dark brown. Also in the source image, the steering wheel on his left arm does not have the dark bley cylinders on it. We'll need a full shot of metalbeard to make the set accurate. Quote
obsidianheart Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Also in the source image, the steering wheel on his left arm does not have the dark bley cylinders on it. Pretty sure those are meant to be extra ammo for his cannons, and they just stuck 'em there because they fit. Quote
