AFOLguy1970 Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 I might actually buy this. Even before the Lego Movie was announced, I was kind of wishing there was an ice cream truck build. That giant cone could eventually be used to make some type of ice cream shop modular in the future. It would be great on the side of a building. Quote
Darth Punk Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 How about turning the ice cream truck into a villains vehicle that uses the giant cone as a drill. It terrorizes the citizens of,heartlake city will its annoying music and drills into its buildings to knock them down. Not sure my daughter would go for it. She wasn't amused when the Death Star destroyed(pretended) the dolphin cruiser. Quote

They've been hooked by the movie, and have plans for it to double up as a "Joker's Ice Cream Surprise"-alike, the original being some way out of their price range... Quote
linda_185 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 The truck is cool, the plane not so much... Quote
TheLegoDr Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Thanks for the review. I am definitely buying this. This is one of the few LEGO movie sets I want. It has inspired me to build a Modular ice cream restaurant sometime. I can picture it now and this will add a lot to that place. Now I just need extra sticker sheets and extra torsos. Too bad they have name tags on. Quote
LEGO Family Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 (edited) I just assembled this today in both versions. ( Cause im crazy and bought 3 of this set ). :P As it feels like the set is really an easy build and it doesnt really have any WOW techniques, it did leave me thrilled with both end results. I really like both the flying version and the ice cream truck itself. But its definately the ice cream truck that stands out. The leftovers are lovely. Personally i really love this set but i have to do some moccing on both of the versions. Now its time to assemble The trash chomper in both versions also as i bougt 3 of them as well. Thanks for a lovely review. Edited February 25, 2014 by LEGO Family Quote
