LDD Freezes During Startup?

Dumb question here. I installed LDD on my old laptop several months ago and it worked fine. I recently got a new laptop and installed it and during startup, the program freezes up (at 'Installing Bricks') and then I have to close it. It happens every time. I haven't been able to open it since installed it. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and the same thing happens. When I go in offline mode, it freezes as well. Is there anything I can do to fix this? (If it's any help this is LDD for PC, not Mac)

Probably the problem is due to the preview thumbnails: LDD loads the last accessed models wholly.

If you have a small model, try to open LDD double clicking on its lxf file.

What is your hardware config? What about your system?

I'm not trying to open a model, rather I am just trying to launch the program itself. I don't have any models on it yet.

I did try opening lxf files and same thing occurred.
