Something_Awesome Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 So what are the dimensions of something when someone says it is 28 bricks high and 33 studs long? I think I calculated the height. Would the height be 268.8 mm (or 26.8 cm). Any help on this matter would be great. These dimensions were given for a custom AT-AT walker and it sounds small. Thanks for any help!
Brickadeer Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) This is an 1x1 brick: (picture taken from bricklink.com) Put 28 of them together (vertically), and you got the heigth. Put 33 of them in a horizontal line, and you got the length. Edited September 11, 2013 by Brickadeer

SpiderSpaceman Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Unintuitively, Lego's bricks are sized in relation to the inch, so using that system, you can get a pretty exact size. A brick is (without the stud, since it nests) 6 * 1/16 in. A "stud", here meaning the width of a 1 x 1 brick, is 5 * 1/16 in. Then use the 1 in = 2.54 cm conversion, so 6/16*28*2.54 = 266.7mm height, 5/16*33*2.53 = 260.9mm length. Just a little over a quarter of a meter each way. Smaller than minifig scale, can't tell you how it compares to the official sets.
