ISDAvenger Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) Good night! Looks like that ship flew through a dust storm lol/jk. I remember it, because I have it. My youngest brother had bought the set, but then gave it to me. The only thing I do not have is the Juno's hair piece. Not a bad set, comes with a damaged Darth Vader, which is cool. Brickdoctor Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Dust off that LEGO! I do remember that set; I almost bought it when it was 50% off at Brand Stores at the end of its lifetime. Never really wished I'd bought it, though, even after that. Too many large black slopes that I'd probably never use. Anyways, I'm curious as to what the purpose of this topic is intended to be. Is it supposed to be a mini review because you took the set out again, or...? Quote
kr-lik Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I have this one but will most likely sell it... the black pieces seemed to be in not the best quality as they cought every dust imaginable + they started changing color a bit. Still it was a fun set (the minifig was cool) especially after playing the game... Quote
HJR-Holland Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I remember it really well, and of the TIEs I have, it's one of my favorites. Cool minifigs, and I really like the wing / engine technique If you're not a Force Unleashed player you might have a hard time to see the kudos of buying this set, but I eat anything Star Wars, so I don't mind. Mine is black though, not grey Quote
The Ghost Racer Posted July 9, 2013 Author Posted July 9, 2013 Looks like that ship flew through a dust storm Ahahah, yes it is xDI like this set because it has a lot of functions and cool minifigures, the rotary engine is magnificent, cab's design looks beautiful. Quote
Speedboat Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Indeed I remember this set, it was the one that got me out of my Dark Ages! Though I hadn't heard of The Force Unleashed before, the picture of this set instantly intrigued me enough to buy this set on a whim. Then I found out about the fantastic AFOL community on the internet while checking for more information on this particular ship and that's what got me into LEGO and Star Wars in general again! I love this set, it still has a place of honour in my glass cabinet! Quote
mortesv Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Dust off you lego at least once a week - that way you don't get that layer of 'dust-coat' that has to be washed off. Dusting off is also a good excuse to spend time with your lego while doing an activity your better half cant argue against... ;) Quote
Ralf Bauder Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 funny post, isnt it? "Do you remember..." somehow off topic by force. And yes, its a quite OK set, far from a favorite, but black monochrome colorscheme is always cool. Quote

I'm sorry to cover it with a cloth and do not have time to build a glass case to put the set inside.it. Quote
xboxtravis7992 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) I own this set, I bought it when "The Force Unleashed" seemed to be very cool. However there are some notable flaws, for one the cockpit is too small being able to only carry one person at a time! I guess Juno must fly while Galen is strapped to the hood or something... Oddly enough, this is the only set I own which has Darth Vader in it! Imagine trying to come up for an excuse as to why Darth Vader is battle damaged every time he shows up. To bad The Force Unleashed 2 killed the franchise or else we might have seen Lego redo this vehicle in the future. Also, on the dust thing. I store all my sets in a closet with no vents, and that has kept the dust low. Give your set a good clean up and then put in a closet to keep it clean. Edited July 9, 2013 by xboxtravis7992 Quote
Chills Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Yep, I have that set as well. Honestly, it is one of my least favorite sets. To me it has a very unfinished feel to it. However, I really like the minifigures, which is the main reason I bought it. Oh, and thanks for reminding me to dust off my UCS sets... they are the only one outisde of glass that I have to dust regularly. Quote

Faefrost Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 There is something about that set that just makes it an unbelievable dust magnet. Quote

I agree, I remember when I first read about it on a leaked set list in 2008, I thought it was going to be an amazing set, but was sorely disappointed when the first images emerged. I think probably the fact that it is an asymmetrical ship was the main problem the set designers had. Maybe you can MOC a new rendition of it some day. Quote
