I want to present my latest modular building: "Coffee Shop Skunk".

It is based on a real building. And before you ask, No, I don't smoke...

The walls on side can be opened so you can see the interior.

The shop has quite a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. People are having a good time.

The apartment on the second floor is used by the staff of the shop.

What is happening at the second floor? I expect a huge electricity bill.

Haha, I wasn't surprised when I saw that you came from the Netherlands as well! Great details and the idea of adding weed.

Nice creation. While it looks simple on the exterior, it looks good in all places. The only modular buildings I have built are the two in the pet shop set. I didn't think that I would make a custom modular building in a long time because I am not ready to build large detailed models from scratch. But now that I see that a simple design could look good, I should try building my own.

I have some questions; I the title "skunk" just the name of the shop that this is based on, or is it named because of the smell of cannabis plants? I realize that you are from the Netherlands, where it is legal. Do you know that they have that in the shop that this is based on?

AWESOME modular 'Vincent', though I'm not sure Lego would approve of whacky weed.....and we now know you Bill and Ben were so happy......Weed !

I really like the cafe downstairs....any poetry readings going to go on ?

Highly detailed but cramped kitchen, dining and toilet.....but done so well.

Now the only thing that needs improvement.......lighting for the er, tomato plants up stairs and I don't see any irrigation system in play here.....but what would I know eh ?

Brick On 'Vincent Kessels' !

Wow! A cute cafe, especially the green awnings and orange accents. Just don't ask LEGO to produce this set unless you intend to grow flowers upstairs! (Which also would be perfectly reasonable in your neck of the woods.)

Glad you don't smoke or you would be too zonked out to build...and your bricks would stink for sure!

Question: where could you park more bikes around this place so you can have more than one customer?

One million points for the Bill & Ben reference LT!

As for the MOC. I like the straight lines and plain facade of the front. I'm definitely liking the swinging sides, but the interior is brilliant! You've crammed so much into a small space and it's get everything in it - I was going to mention the lack of a bathroom door, but you've cleverly incorporated into the swinging side.

Most complete MOC i've seen in ages! Congratulations!

Amazing job. This might be my favorite of your builds. The SNOT work on the first floor facade is great. The second floor interior is very clever, especially with the swinging wall. The grow house is really cute. And I like the color scheme as well.

Very realistic, except for the top floor... Wouldnt that part normally be located in a secret place, like a rented house in some rural neighborhood¿?

(I seem to have read that although these officually licensed shops can sell and consume weed, there is no legal way for them to grow or buy it¿?)

Now seriously; Very nice MOC!

Another lovely building from you. I like how you make them in a similar style, yet each has its own personality. What I like the most about the cafe, is the first floor with vibrant orange and the crowd - gives it a realistic look. Well done (as usually). :classic:

I think that you had 2 of these pieces in this MOC barely visible in the photos. Has anyone noticed what kind of plant element 10884 looks like?

I really like the 1st fllor of your moc, especially the kitchen wich gives us the atmosphere of thoose kind of 20-30 years old kitchens! But toilets with no doors... Glups!!! I will smell in all the flat!

I also like the ground floor facade and interirors with sofas!

You did a great job!!

Fantastic building.

I can litteraly smell the tobacco, after staying at a Hotel in Amsterdam just around the corner from a coffeeshopneighbourhood three years ago.

Not a smell I'm a fan of (I get a headache just from the smell).

But fantastic build and orange screams The Netherlands

Just gorgeous and packed with great details, like the coat rack, fridge, lighting for the hydroponics room, just to name a few. I also like the clever use of the neck brackets to create a shelf in the kitchen and the SNOT windows on the ground floor.

I love your building especially the interior and the opening sides. Maybe you should make a bakery or a pizza place for your Minifigs to use after.

Love it! :classic: Especially love the top floor, I've never been to Amsterdam but this is the sort of building I would expect to see there.... For its architecture.... Of course........

And interesting way of perusing the insides with the side opening walls, nice feature :classic:

I look forward to the next one, happy building
