Sir E Fullner Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Hello again. Recently, since school is out, I have been working on some projects I have had in mind. This project was inspired by a photograph of an unfinished LEGO theme called "Europa." I figured that I might be able to craft a little something like it. So, with a little ingenuity, imagination, and integrity, I crafted a little village with rough copies of the featured models in the image. And so, without further ado, here is: Europa In this design, I made two village buildings, a fort, and an army. Below are some closer looks. The village buildings: The village tavern: Inside: The village bakery: Inside: The highwaymen, ready to rob innocent travelers: And now for the men who protect this village, the local militia and their fort: The Grenadiers: The Musketiers: The Light Cavalry: I hope you enjoyed looking, more images are available at the link to my Brickshelf, located below in the signature. Please rate and comment! Always entertaining, always inspiring, always: Quote
Sigolf Brimabane Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Interesting idea! Too bad it never made it into a real theme :) Your version of it is cool! Quote
tomdobs55 Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 I like it. Too bad it didn't make it, there's not enough representation from colonial era Europe in Lego from what I've seen Quote
Kerntechniker Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Nice LDD creation, it looks very good and is very close to stuff we can see in this picture. It is a pitty that the "Europe" theme has never been realised. :( Quote
The_Cook Posted June 5, 2013 Posted June 5, 2013 Very neatly done. I think in the end TLC realised that there was more market in the Pirates theme, which is of a similar era, than there was in pursuing a Napoleonic theme within Europe. What I always found interesting was that there were a couple of parts for the prototype stes (both Europa and Medieval) that they must have produced moulds for that never saw the light of day, namely the curved window shutters and the corner pieces that form the sides of the Europa fortress.
