herrJJ Posted August 28, 2013 Posted August 28, 2013 "When did the nickname 'Drey' get so popular?" Dreyrugr pulls the crane back up. "I guess it was me. But we could call you Doctor, if you like it more." Nessa winked. Then she aimed for the Blue Assadsin from the back row to distract him from her party members entering the plattform.

Though I'll agree that Doctor would hardly suit me."
Palathadric Posted August 29, 2013 Posted August 29, 2013 Come to think of it, perhaps I should heal Nessa and you target the enemy since I have just as much chance of healing Nessa as you, but you have more chances of hitting the assassin and with a stronger hit while at it. I heal Nessa, if Sylph changes his action, if Sylph gets roots of life I target enemy as well. New Battle Order: Sylph Nessa Pretzel Dreyrugr Erik
CMP Posted August 29, 2013 Author Posted August 29, 2013 Round Ten of Black and Blue Sylph heals Nessa (Shrapnel Bow) - Heal (34 health restored, -1 ether) Nessa vs. Blue Assassin (Silver Crossbow) - Damage (No effect, Guardian Angel) Pretzel vs. Blue Assassin (Flying Cross) - Critical Hit (30 damage) Dreyrugr Erik Pretzel's angel takes a throwing knife for Nessa before dissipating. Sylph patches her up as Pretzel clips the assassin on the shoulder with his broom. Dreyrugr winches the crane high enough for Erik to get up onto the platform. It's around ten studs away from the Blue Assassin, since I guess I can't properly define that with a picture. Cat and Mouse - The Blue Assassin is attempting to escape. The heroes have five ten rounds to reach and engage him in physical combat. The timer will reset after the next engagement ends. - Rounds are run normally, but heroes have more freedom over their actions, such as examining or moving objects in the environment. - The heroes may attack the Blue Assassin with ranged weapons only at all times, but it will not count as an engagement. - If the Blue Assassin is not targeted, he will still deal free hits. He can be targeted with melee weapons, but nothing will happen. Enemies Blue Assassin Prodigy *Four rounds until escape* Level 40 Dark Humanoid Health: 667/994 Special I: Bolas to the Feet – Blue Assassin Prodigy tosses throwing bolas, entangling the hero, dealing the Bound and Slowed effects for the duration of the battle until remedied. Special III: Shroud – Blue Assassin Prodigy becomes invisible, making them unable to be targeted for the duration of the round. At the beginning of the next round, they will pull the hero that rolled Special Damage into the darkness, causing them to be Blinded for the next 3 rounds and Stunned. Myrddyn Posted August 30, 2013 Posted August 30, 2013 Erik starts checking through the containers on the platform. Cauldron, then crate, then box, or as many as he can in one round.
CMP Posted August 31, 2013 Author Posted August 31, 2013 Cannot believe we're at 60 pages here. I'm pretty awful at predicting Quest length. Round Eleven of Black and Blue Nessa vs. Blue Assassin (Silver Crossbow) - Special Damage: Bladestorm (20 damage to everyone) Pretzel Sylph vs. Blue Assassin (Shrapnel Bow) - Aim (10 damage) Dreyrugr Erik The Blue Assassin slings a flurry of knives at everyone. He's finally noticed the other heroes trying to get around him, but is too occupied trying to avoid Sylph's arrows. Pretzel clambers up his cart and up the bolas. Erik looks through the containers on his platform - the cauldron is empty, the barrel is full of some kind of liquid he can hear sloshing around but is unable to see without spilling it all, and inside the sealed crate is a pile of metal bars, which the barbarian can see through a hole in its side. Dreyrugr winches to and fro, but evidently the hook can only be lifted up and down with it. Cat and Mouse - The Blue Assassin is attempting to escape. Myrddyn Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 Erik smashes the top of the crate and tries to throw the metal bars at Blue. If that's not allowed, because Erik can't use throwing weapons, he tries to reach the hook with his Titanic Axe.

"It's that type of thing I'm talking about, whether or not I may have done evil or not you'd hold me responsible for everything vampires have done. Accountable and punishable. For not even half a second would you yourself hold yourself accountable for all the evil that humans have done in history. One could argue that they do worse then demons but you wouldn't see it like that would you?" "Ah, ha! You admit it! I think 'demon' suits you better anyway." "I never admitted otherwise." Dreyrugr attacks the Blue Assassin from the front row unless told otherwise.

Accountable and punishable. For not even half a second would you yourself hold yourself accountable for all the evil that humans have done in history. One could argue that they do worse then demons but you wouldn't see it like that would you?" "Because demons are manipulated by evil people or by the greatest demon himself. Hence their actions can never be truly good or pure because they are not their own. Granted some demons can be commanded to do right by good men full of the power of God, but they always prefer to succumb to the power of evil because that is the power that created them. If God had made you, you wouldn't be so ugly. Everything God made is beautiful. Humans, unlike demons, though, are free-thinking beings. Hence, one cannot be held responsible for the actions of another. Because each is different. You and your kind, though...you're all the same." herrJJ Posted August 31, 2013 Posted August 31, 2013 (edited) A sudden burst of pain shot through Nessa's body as the assassin's knives reached her. With the last strength she pulled out a potion and drank it from the back row unless she received some full healing from Sylph. In that case she readied herself to attack again also from the back. He instead hooks onto the crane using it, but without Dreyrugr holding the winch, the rope slides to the ground. Luckily, it doesn't matter, because Dreyrugr promptly engages the Blue Assassin, who jumps off the catwalk and onto the ground, only to be swarmed by the rest of the heroes. Vash the Stampede Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 So Dreyrugr is on the catwalk but can attack normally? And what type of crane doesn't have something to keep the object in place rather than let everything fall to its doom? Wait, no fall damage. This part doesn't matter. Dreyrugr attacks from the front row. And just a note that I'll be away for the 4th and 5th.
CMP Posted September 2, 2013 Author Posted September 2, 2013 So Dreyrugr is on the catwalk but can attack normally? It's more for getting you all to the same location to set up for the next combat break..You'll move down to the ground when you attack. Environment/location is a non-issue when you're in an engagement.
Palathadric Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 "He's on level fighting ground. Let's take him down." I repeat my action, attacking from the back row unless Sylph roots me. Battle Order: >Sylph Dreyrugr >Pretzel >Nessa >Erik
herrJJ Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 "Next round I am with you, as for now I am of no use in my condition", Nessa said as she drank another potion from the back row.
Myrddyn Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Erik attacks from the back row with Twin Axe.
