Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp Version)- Custom Minifig

Hi everyone,

Here is a pic of the first decal work I ever did on a Lego. My kids are huge "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" fans and really wanted a Willy Wonka to play with for their Legos. This one actually got me interested in customizing Legos...been hooked ever since.

For Willy Wonka, I applied custom face, torso, and leg decals (you can see I still wasn't good at decal applying back then...and it still hasn't improved ) The hat has a decal for the ribbon. I also cut a hair piece and super glued it to the top hat. The cut job was pretty amateur to say the least as you can see it is a bit off (off kilter a bit).

Hope you all like. As usual, I'd love to hear your feedback and comments.

That's really cute The decal designs are top notch, did you do the designs yourself too?

I think you should redo the hat so the hair is straight and then the fig would be pefect.

Thanks, darkdragon! Yes, I did the decals myself, it was my first design. And I'm thinking of redoing the hair later on...maybe I'll repost a pic if I do it.

You should use a Count Dooku head on a Lego Monster Fighters Crazy Scientist torso to make his dad. :)

I love this! Just like your other custom figs I've seen the decal work here is impeccable! And that hat-hair combo looks great! Excellent job! Any chance of you doing the Oompa Loompas?

Funny you say that, my kids said the same thing when I finished with him. I might do one later on down the line. I'll repost here if I do. Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you guys like it!
