vahkimetru Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 I went to McDs today and got Hahli in my Mighty Kids Meal and bought Jaller sperately. I'll be reviewing Jaller. THE BAG The Bag The bag is a small polybag. It shows Jaller's symbol from the Free the Band game and the Inika logo. The back is clear. The bag for the 2001 Tohunga was nicer, but this is just as cool. OPEN THE BAG The contents Just what I expected. Three disks with Jaller on front and Voya-Nui and the Inika logo on the back. It also contains a poster and instructions on how to shoot the disk. Poster top front, Poster front bottom, and poster back. THE TOY Toy Front Toy back. The action feature works nicely and the articulation is okay for a McDs toy. The paint job is great and the detailing is pretty good. He's nice to take around with you. Definately not a Mctoran, but not a Burger King piece of crud. OVERALL What I expected. I saw loads of kids playing with their toys there, so if this helps sales, then I'm all for it. A great toy. Rating 7.5/10 Awwww. Mcnika and real Jaller are friends! Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 (edited) Despite my passionate criticism of them, they really come through as far as looking like the characters they're supposed to. Oftentimes Happy Meal toys based off action figure lines contain HORRENDOUS representations of the individuals. Here, it looks like they merely scanned the actual figures in a pose, then made the mold by only slightly altering them / downsizing them... which is kinda' cool. Still... xwingyoda Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Tks for sharing ;-) Sure I am not a fan of either Bionicle or McDonalds, but I would much prefer a real MF Bionicle (like in the new sets) than those huge plastic parts that hardly ressemble Lego at all |-/ Since its really aimed at kids and not AFOLs like me, I guess its ok *yoda* Quote
Kahgarak Posted September 30, 2006 Posted September 30, 2006 Looks like a nice toy.If i lived in America,i would have gotten this. And the final pic is very cute. *wub* Quote
JINZONINGEN73 Posted October 1, 2006 Posted October 1, 2006 My wife didn't want to wait in the line at Subway's, since it stretched halfway into the store. >__< Oh well, it was good having McDonalds again. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JINZONIN...s_hahli_004.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/JINZONIN...s_hahli_001.jpg The rubber used for the limbs feel uncomfortably "oily". Like if you left it up against a bunch of plastic toys in a box for awhile, it'd eventually have a chemical reaction with it... that kind of material. It's sticky-feelin'. *sad* Quote
