Futuron, Blacktron 1 (a true remake similar to SP1 or M:Tron), Space Police 2, Blacktron 2* (non-mutated), Spyrius, Unitron, Exploriens, UFO, Insectoids, RoboForce (not happening, as the original theme barely happened!).

What about Rock Raider?

Rock Raiders and Aquazone exist in an odd space of not technically being Space themes as they lack spaceships, but either taking place in space (Rock Raiders) or being very sci-fi without an explicit location (Aquazone); I personally consider them to be sci-fi themes (alongside Power Miners and Atlantis) rather Space themes.

I only hope that the January 2025 series will be a regular, unthemed and unlicensed one!

Plus I hope that we finally will get minimum one more Classic Castle torso to go with the bucklers in the Lion Knights Castle (white-red / crossed halberds / blue with yellow trefoils / yellow with green strypes)!

A motorcycle costume figure would be a fine addition

Personally, I would like to see more Japanese minifigure like. Updated Ninja, Kimono Girl, or Samurai (such as printing, dual-molded parts, etc). Sumo Wrestler would need a new body mold… he looks like he has lot of weight. Ronin or Archer minifigure would be cool. I love Kendo Guy and Sushi Chef.

I can’t help myself but I’m a shinnichi (aka japanophila…).

To me, historic Figures are always welcome, whether it are Knights, Samurai, Romans, Celts, Scots, Spartans, Egyptians, Teutons, Athens, Pirates, Western or something else.

I have no idea what you mean by Athens (the city) but yeah, I will welcome Greeks  and other historic figures you mentioned.

This just makes me want to see how TLG would handle a modern day western theme

Not sure what you mean by that. It sounds like you are talking about soliders in our time?  Or “City” citizens? I’m just scratching my head at your comment.

Without attempting to speak for @FinlayTheFaithful, maybe this means a Western setting as they tend to be depicted now in the 2020s, vs. how they were depicted in the 1990s when the Western sets were a thing?

I was thinking of a western equivalent of Nexo Knights, but a revival of the 90's western theme sounds good too

I…still don’t get it what you mean? You mentioend “modern day” then now you said Nexo Knights? I don’t think Nexo Knights setting in present day - they look like they are futuristic to me, mobile castle, high tech weapons/vehicle…. If you are thinking of futuristic verison of Wesern settings like…Cyber Sheriff? Alien Cowboy? Tribal Warrior Rboot?

Anyways, yeah of  revival of 90s sets would be great for CMF series.

I wasn't thinking of a revival of the 90s Western theme so much as a new Western theme updated for current sensibilities regarding that time period.

Well, the inhabitants of Athens (the city) of course. Back in the antiquity there was no such thing as Greece but just city-states, such as Athens, Sparta, Corinth or Thebes. We already got a spartan and as Athens is probably the second most famous of the city-staates, it would make sense to get it next. Wouldn´t mind another spartan either though.

Athenian figures rather than Athens setting. :)  Anyways, now you mention that, i could see us getting philosophers like Aristotle and Plato, warriors like Alexander the Great.

When can we expect some 2025 CMF news?

Expand

Probably fairly soon. We already know some about the January 2025 range for other series, so I imagine we will hear about CMF's soon - especially now that we have seen official photos of D&D. If it was a licensed, there's a chance it would have been leaked by now, so I'm guessing it will be a normal one.

I heard a thirdhand rumor saying it would be a costume series, but I'm taking that with a huge grain of salt.

You beter not jinx it in first place….

Anyways,  if it’s true, i wonder what the costume series is for?  We had 40th anniveary for minifigure in 2018 and we had 90th annivesary for Lego in 2022.

Last years was 45th anniversary last year. So I dnon’tknow….

Let's not go into a panic yet - this was just a case of "a guy I know repeated something that he heard from another guy," so I'm not taking it with a lot of weight. Just thought it might be fun to add to the speculation... And karma dictates that we might need to have (in my opinion) a bizarre costume series after such stellar D&D minifigs. Though I wonder what costumes they would be able to do...
