Jedd the Jedi Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Poison Ivy has Batman just where she wants him - in the grasp of her mutant vines in the deadly garden. After making the Catwoman vignette I thought it would be fun to do one for Poison Ivy too. I was considering making a giant man-eating Venus Fly Trap, but realised that I didn't have the pieces and that smaller may just be better. I'm pretty proud of the vines holding Batman up, and am glad to have found a good use for my old flower pieces that were part of some of my first "basic bucket" LEGO sets. Brickshelf Gallery Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Very nice little vignette Jedd! I love how you effectively used those whips as vines, the positioning really depicts this scene, with Batman having trouble escaping, pretty well. Good job! Quote
Miss Kyle Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 This is so lovely!! I had a similar idea, but I still need an Ivy minifig to do it properly. Quote
Princess Muttonchops Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Cute MOC Jedd. I hope you'll be able to update it with a man-eating Venus fly trap someday... Quote
Jedd the Jedi Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 Hey, thanks everyone! I've gotta say, I've been made to feel very welcome here in the past day since I've joined. Thank you all! Miss Kyle, I'm sorry about that - I've felt the same way about many other MOCs I've seen where the missing factor for me would be the minifig. As a Batman fan I tried to get as many Batman sets as I could, and it was prudent since the line is dead for the moment. You'll get her someday! Princess Muttonchops, I was indeed toying with the idea of a man-eating Venus flytrap! I've seen at least one MOC on Brickshelf with a great looking brick-built version. But I thought I wanted to do a small vig, and don't have the pieces to pull it off - especially the "teeth". Quote
Dadster Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Very cool! Love the use of the vines. I can't wait to get my stuff back (out of storage...) Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Holy, green vine Batman ! Excellent vig 'Jedd the Jedi'. Keep them comming and Brick On ! Quote
The Penguin Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Very nice creation again, Jedd the Jedi! ) And very clever use of those vines! I guess Batman will find a way to cut free (again! ), but al least we, villains, have several moments of joy, seeing him like that! Good day, ladies and gentlemen! ) Quote
Professor Trelawney Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Cool creation Jedd, I really like the way how you've used the kind-of green "catwoman" whip to look like the vines are grasping Batman there. Keep up the good work! -Professor. Quote
