prozac Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I'm an Assistant at Aldi in the US and saturday we got our ad and signs for the special purchase items for the first week of novermber and we are getting several Lego sets. Off the top of my head i can remember: Star Wars Freeco Speeder Atlantis deep sea striker - $14.99 a Kingdoms set for $14.99 I think a City set for $29.99 I believe(some sort of fire vehicle) Star Wars SNowtrooper Battle packs for 9.99 Might be a few more, but I can't remember. If anyone wants specifics I can find out the next time I work. These sets will be out on 10-31 or 11-3 depending on what day that division puts thier stuff out.
sidersdd Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Yes, specifics would be appreciated. Do you expect this to be at all Aldis?

Edmond Dantes Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 What is Aldi? And where is it located? It's a discount grocery store (at least in the US). We have a ton in MN.
Skalldyr Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Whhaaa, I want LEGO in my Aldi, too....but I live in Germany and here I think, we will never see it in an Aldi, although it's coming from here....But here Aldi offers only its own products! I even didn't know it exist in the US.
CMP Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Huh. Shop there all the time. I saw a Creator set once. A few of those you said sounded like discounted sets.
Wout Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 What is Aldi? And where is it located? Wikilink I'm sure there are no Aldi's on Mandalore, so It's not that common knowledge to you.

Solscud007 Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 There is Aldis in Pittsburgh. When i went to Sheffield, UK back in July i walked into an Aldi and it is NOT a grocery store. it is more like a general store with little odds and ends. They did have some groceries but they had these big tables/baskets with merchandise. cheap merchandise. Motorcycle boots, cordless drills and other miscellaneous stuff.

Wout Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Here in the Netherlands they are most food selling with a little corner were they sell things like pyama's, garden utilities or something like that. Alas, no lego.
CMP Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 No, it's still a discount supermarket here. (US) They have like, one tiny section for toys.
happymark Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Lego and other toys are only seasonal in ALDI - mean you won't see them all the time. ALDI only accepts cash or debit card (no credit card) No, it's still a discount supermarket here. (US) They have like, one tiny section for toys.
