Brickdoctor Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Bah Coke, I'm more of a Pepsi fan myself I mean the whole Mando thing. They made Mandos a little darker. Have they gone from cube city to farmland yet, though? I like Pepsi, too! But it's not as good as root beer! Or ginger ale! If they do, they'll grown square fruit on square land with square harvester droids. So it'd be like going from cube city to cube town. Quote
djmangunz Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Wow, did Friday's episode suck. All I want is clones blowing crap up. Is that too much to ask? Quote
CommanderFox Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 I haven't started watching any of the season 3 eps yet, but the pics on the first post look exciting, especially the clone with the chaingun! Wish we could get some of him in the new BP coming out next year! CF Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Wow, did Friday's episode suck. All I want is clones blowing crap up. Is that too much to ask? Same sentiments here. I'm really not a fan of political episodes. I watched it last night online, but didn't even bother to re-watch it (like what I normally do in other epis). I'm just wonderin', if a 'mature' adult fan like me would easily get bored with these type of episodes, how much more the young kids (who have lower attention spans)? I mean, the CW series is mainly targeted to kid audiences, and they expect to 'feed' them with these politics gibberish? I could just imagine the children frowning after haering the closing credits and saying "That's it?" Anyway, sorry for the rant, just speaking out for the kids (and the kid in me). ....especially the clone with the chaingun! Wish we could get some of him in the new BP coming out next year! Maybe in the 2012 BPs (or in the later 2011 sets), since there is clearly no chaingun in the upcoming 2011 BP. Quote

When I was a kid I used to love watching Macgyver. Some episodes were full of action, some were political, some dramatic relational etc. There would be at least one occasion where he did something clever. The past year I've been rewatching it, and I've realised that the only bits I remember are when he was against Murdoc. I didn't understand any of it at the time, nor do I remember much, but I enjoyed it anyway. Quote

I think the developers think that somehow this polotical conflict will appeal more to older fans, like those of Senator Organa and Grand Moff Tarkin. Yeah right. BTW, I'm also a big Macgyver fan. My favorite episode of the ones I've seen was in season 1, where he held of army ants with a homemade flamethrower. Quote
Penitent Tangent Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Why didn't you like it? Everything you said were postitive. I personally thought this episode wasn't the greatest but it's far from being the worst *cough* Senate Murders *cough* Malevolence trilogy *cough* Senate Spy *cough, cough* Like I said, I loved a lot of the background details and the setting, but the actual plot was just dull and although it's nice to see some strong female characters, it's getting a bit ridiculous to have a senator getting into situations like this all the time not to mention the duchess. Maybe the two of them should put together a team of people who don't suck and are actually trustworthy? Quote
Oky Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Maybe the two of them should put together a team of people who don't suck and are actually trustworthy? Amen! But the thing is, in war, you can't trust anyone. Quote

I like how the episodes are similar, but with different variations. The Clone Wars guys seem to not want the variations thing. Quote
Oky Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 New teaser on SW.com. Kinda creepy, but nothing really new, just Ahsoka having bad dreams. Still, it makes me hopeful for better episodes to come soon. Quote

sok117 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 Yea so then we will all keep watching for the better episodes. Its a smart tactic well what if you get totally put off by the show that you didn't even bother to watch it after like the forth episode? Doesn't sound that smart to me. The trailer looks kind of weird, how come Dooku gets a nice pair of silk pajamas but Ashoka has to sleep in her scantily clad outfit without any blankets? Quote

Darth Jar Jar Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Apparently the dutchess nephew will be in the next episode Quote
commdr_neyo Posted October 14, 2010 Posted October 14, 2010 Here's the preview of the next episode, The Academy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kI-8dbRJH44&feature=player_embedded Quote
sok117 Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Well, I saw "the academy" yesterday and I was very dissapointed, did anyone else kind of get a scooby-doo vibe? Corky (fred): And the real bad guy was prime minister Almec? Techno girl who looked like velma: Looks like he used the food shortage to starve everyone off mandalore to let him dig for the buried treasure Almec: And I would've gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids! Ashoka: SCOOBY-DOOBY-DOO (no this wan't actual dialogue from the show, but the episode was terrible nonetheless.) Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 (no this wan't actual dialogue from the show, but the episode was terrible nonetheless.) Agreed, I'm getting quite board of the Mandlore plot. Thank goodness that it looks like they'll start picking up next week. Quote
Oky Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 Well, I saw "the academy" yesterday and I was very dissapointed, did anyone else kind of get a scooby-doo vibe? No, but your interpretation of the final dialogue fits pretty nicely. I got more a Harry Potter vibe from it, which is apparently what they were going for. I thought the episode was alright, or at least better than the last one. It was more serious than I expected, and Ahsoka seemed quite competent in it, even though her plan to leave the uncovering of a major government corruption to a bunch of students was indeed as ridiculously risky as Anakin made it sound. I mean, why didn't she and Satine just go and get the evidence themselves instead of putting the kids' safety at risk? Also, as I said before, it didn't surprise me at all that Almec was behind all of this. I agree that we have seen enough of Mandalore for now. It's time to move on, unless Death Watch is about to do something really badass. Next episode does look promising, so here's hoping that this season is finally going to get good. Quote
Corvus Posted October 17, 2010 Author Posted October 17, 2010 A meh episode in my book. The dialogue, one of my main concerns, was all right, but the plot was lacking. So...if Satine suspected this, why didn't she just check the government warehouses? This would've been a good episode for a costume change for Ahsoka. Her outfit is hardly fitting for a teaching position. Seems the kids could get a little...distracted, seeing as they are roughly the same age. At least put on a robe or something. Quote
DarthSion Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Yeah season 3 has been over hyped, so far except for the first 2 episodes it has just sucked. Quote
Forresto Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Yeah season 3 has been over hyped, so far except for the first 2 episodes it has just sucked. just wait. Like I said, they put all the bad episodes towards the beginning to keep people watching. Quote
XimenaPaulina Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Well, I saw "the academy" yesterday and I was very dissapointed, did anyone else kind of get a scooby-doo vibe? Funny, since wen I was watching the episode online, a Scooby-Doo mini-advisory keeps popping up at the bottom of the screen. Yeah, it was a meh episode, glad those Mandalorian episodes are over. Looks like next one will be exciting, I hope it won't disappoint. Looking forward to a great fight scene between Ahsoka and Aurra to somehow make-up for an expected lame story. just wait. Like I said, they put all the bad episodes towards the beginning to keep people watching. Huh, but won't that keep people more away from watching because of the lame episodes? Quote
Oky Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 just wait. Like I said, they put all the bad episodes towards the beginning to keep people watching. I agree with KDM, your theory doesn't make much sense. Quote
Professor Flitwick Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 just wait. Like I said, they put all the bad episodes towards the beginning to keep people watching. ANH started with a massive space battle, and the audience were captivated throughout the film. If it had started with some boring debate in The Empires version of the senate office, then people would've fast lost interest. Same goes with Speed, starting right with a terrorist indecent. My point being, they first net to capture their audience, before they can start boring them. Quote
