Legoliner Pilot Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) Hi everybody! They other day I was quite bored so I decided to make a bank in the style of 7641 City Corner. Hope you like it! On the outside we have a SNOT-style ATM, roof with 2x4 gold bricks and printed "BANK" sign, and a clear window. The ATM is this piece. Another view of the ATM: On the inside we have another ATM, a wooden desk with computer, panic button (), and money, safe with valuables and suitcases of money on top, and a jewel holder. Close up with the safe. It even has a lock on it. Contents of the safe... Final shot with the Banker minifigure. Edited September 28, 2009 by Legoliner Pilot Quote
Section8 Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I love it! Nice and small with a modern feel; the few banks Lego made previously were similar. I like the maximal use of the 8 x 16 plate and the color scheme. Where is that ATM piece from? It seems too big for a minifig. They other day I was quite bored so I decided to make a bank in the style of 7641 City Corner. I believe this style is called 'Classic Town' or 'System Town' or even just 'City'. I hate how the proliferation of CC-style buildings is distorting the definition of Town. Quote

Look at my last picture to see a size comparison. I do agree about the CC-styled buildings. The problem is with them is that you have to have more than 1 of them or it will look weird in a town full of facades. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) That's an awesome MOC, Legoliner Pilot! I really it! The exterior as well as the interior look perfect! You thought about everything a bank necessarily needs: an ATM out- and inside, a counter, a safe, jewels, bills, suitcases and a banker! Only three thoughts: I'd put in one more minifig (either a female civilian or even better a bank robber), I'd add a glas wall in front of the counter towards the customers and a second floor with a bank office (where you talk to a banker when you want to know what you can do with your money). These are only three ideas which would be very nice to have included - but which are not absolutely necessary for a Lego bank. I mainly like the many accessory you included and the interior in general! This is really a set TLG could and should release! Very, very well done! Klaus-Dieter Edited September 28, 2009 by Klaus-Dieter Quote

I will definitely add another minifigure, and a glass wall. I will also see if I can make a second floor. Thanks for the ideas! Quote
