HumanPackMule Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I find it kind of funny how the clone brands are fighting each other. Quote
Darth Legolas Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Judging by the fact that the green hat, an exact rip-off of Lego fits the minifig, those helmets are interchangeable with minifigs! I could have some uses for those... Quote

Yes, but the clone brand heads don't fit well on the minifigures; they go on very loose. Quote
Eilif Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) Judging by the fact that the green hat, an exact rip-off of Lego fits the minifig, those helmets are interchangeable with minifigs!I could have some uses for those... The headgear is compatible. If you're only interested in the minifig headgear and accessories, this set will give you the same amount of minifigs and the same gear (except for an officers cap instead of the hat) for less than half the price. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3252913 Or if you'd prefer brown: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3252912 Edited June 1, 2009 by Eilif Quote
Ratshot Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 (edited) "FOR $10 MEASLEY DOLLARS YOU GET A PILE OF CRAP" That is my slogan for these crappy Lego wanna be's. Edited June 1, 2009 by Broadside Quote
HumanPackMule Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 "FOR $10 MEASLEY DOLLARS YOU GET A PILE OF CRAP" That is my slogan for these crappy Lego wanna be's. That would be a great sticker to slap on all the clone brands at the store. Quote
ILikePi Posted June 3, 2009 Author Posted June 3, 2009 I have scanned the instruction sheet at the request of EB member pesgores. pesgores Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 I tried it on LDD and this is how it went: Meh. The original one from BL LOOKS much better (only looks - we all know the original is horrifying and this LEGO version is 37 thousand times better). Quote
pellevin Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I'm especially weirded out by the catch-phrase under the logo; "Build a lot - Play a little". I mean, what!? I think you misread the catch-phrase, it reads "Build a lot - PAY a little". Doh - indeed I did. Thanx for setting me straight! Quote
larry marak Posted June 29, 2009 Posted June 29, 2009 The set here is one of the last sets made for Best Lock by the Little White Dragon co. of Chengdu, the city almost destroyed in a massive earthquake nearly a year ago. Their new source in TRU is the Coco Toy Co of Shanghai (not the infamous Coko). In the new 240 piece fire fighter's set you will find minifigs with Lego style legs, and a host of new building elements never before seen in the Lego scale palatte, the most unususal of which is the 11 x 19 baseplate! There are nearly 40 never before seen parts in this set, including 1x1 octagonal tiles. Quote
Darth Hagrid Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Interesting review! Thanks, ILikePi! Quote
