Yeah, on this website, it would most likely be "modification."

At work, it means "Manager on Duty."

And when Hinckley is drivin', it means "MOVE OVER DUMMY!!!"

In general, it usually means modification or moderator (as on a forum). I don't think it has any Lego-specific meaning.

Ahh yes the general mix-up of those.

When altering or "MODifying" an official set, then it's a MOD (modification of an offical design)

When creating a model of your own, then it's a MOC (My Own Creation).
