May I introduce my extension for the new Eldorado Fortress [10320] from 2023.
I think my extension for the old Eldorado Fortress has already been well received.
Some users on social media have asked me for an extension like this for the new model and I also liked the idea. So I made one.

I call this model: Forward Base Extension V1

It is of course bigger and much more detailed than the old model. And I designed it in the style of the new one.
And also here nothing has to be changed on the original Eldorado to attach the extension.

Only 3 round stones have to be moved a few steps forward to the edge oft he dock. Otherwise the extension is simply attached.

If you are interested in this extension for the new Eldorado Fortress, you can find more details, pics and instruction on my rebrickable:

Looking good, not sure I understood your description though. Is that built from the parts of the set (+baseplate)?

Hi. Using the same parts of a set would be an "alternate build". This is a MOC, so you need different parts to bild this one.

Love the mod! Since I don’t have the new Eldorado but the original I will be sure to check out the one you did for that too!

I like the details of the new Eldorado. But it's also a good deal of money. That's why I didn't buy it. But I like the old one better anyway. Maybe because it's still on my shelf, with an extension that I made. Childhood memories predominate here.

Last year I bought a couple vintage sets from 1989, starting small with Burried Treasure, Sabre Island, and Shipwreck Island. The nostalgia it unlocked was way stronger than I could have expected. Before long I ordered a Carribean Clipper and a Renegade Runner and started scanning other models I was interested in as well. I went back and forth between the original and new Eldorado for a while before deciding on the original. I was still enamored with the detail of the new set even though my interest was primarily in the vintage sets. Another member here is a big fan of the original and his enthusiasm for it went a long way toward swaying me. Another factor was the print on the characters. I wanted all my bluecoats to match, and even though I appreciate the detail on the new sets, I love the simplicity of the old sets even more.
