Lombard003 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 Hello. I am building a komatsu bulldozer. I have the lego large hub turquoise 67718. Today I went to the android app store to download the inventor mindstorms app and it has been discontinued. Does anyone know if I can still use this hub in some other way or platform ? Perhaps I will try to download it on an older android phone ? Android app store says" this app isn't available on your device because it was made for an older version of android" Any help ? Thank you. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) I'm pretty sure I read LEGO has totally discontinued Mindstorms either last year or before... thus it makes sense you can't get the app anymore. But someone who knows more about the app / Mindstorms may have a different answer. (I know practically nothing about this aspect of LEGO) Edited January 25 by Murdoch17 Quote
idlemarvel Posted January 25 Posted January 25 I have just installed and run LEGO MINDSTORMS Inventor on my Android 12 phone from the Play Store. I am based in the UK. I can't test it as I have no Mindstorms kit but it seems to run okay. Hope this helps. Quote
Mestari Posted February 20 Posted February 20 They did abandon it, but it still works on iPhones and iPads. I am yet to try it out on a Windows machine. But that will eventually stop working too. I heard this is not such a big problem because we have Scratch. So I downloaded that and Scratch Link doesn't even run (apparently the problem with seemingly used port is not uncommon) and the Scratch directly from MIT doesn't have necessary add-ons for SPIKE and Inventor. Does anyone know what else is there to program those hubs? Quote
