I don't mind getting the Kamino facility... I rather get the red shirt clone cadets from AOTC over three recycled Boba Fett minifigures.

I don't get the...displeasure over the TCW cadets. Three of the same figure is three of the same figure. I do understand liking the red shirts over the kid cadets, but dismissing the latter just because they all look like Boba...I mean, isn't that the point?

(This isn't really directed at anyone in particular, just a common sentiment I'm seeing)

I’m guessing it’ll be similar in size to the Lars Homestead Kitchen GWP? I wouldn’t mind the training facility honestly.

There isn't really a lot to Kamino besides the barracks and mess hall (as far the reds go), and the only training facilities we see are the flash training classroom (with the 5-year-old cadets, blue shirts), and the Citadel exercise (with Domino Squad). All of which would be nice, but I can't see any of them looking good at that size. Mess hall would be the floor and a table (two at best), barracks would be sweets but again more comparable to the Droid Carrier in size, the classroom would not come with the rumored figures, and the Citadel is a $50 set at worst. The Droid Carrier does admittedly open the door for larger GWPs, but I'd like to think it'll be a rather rare exception.

Its not displeasure just personal preference. We're already getting a new Boba Fett figure that's due to appear in two separate sets this year, so having three identical minifigures in the GWP isn't really all that enticing when I can just Bricklink a few extra Boba's instead.

The red shirts would be something completely new which is what makes them more appealing. I also feel the Prequel Trilogy doesn't get anywhere near enough attention compared to the Clone Wars series so its also nice anytime we get a new figure that comes directly from the films themselves.

Just so I'm on the same page, what set/sets does leaked Boba Fett belong to?

Leaked one: Slave One (UCS, May), Slave One (System, August)

There were rumors of an additional Cadet Disguise Boba in the GWP, but now it sounds like it's just some redshirts, which is better.

My hope out of this news is that Richboyjhae comes back from hibernation to army-build for his Kamino MOC. Beyond that, my interest has improved by 5%, although that could just be the margin of error.

Cool! I'm still holding out hope that the system Slave I is based on the Clone Wars, otherwise what's does the "Lucky" hint mean?

Would be the best place to get a new Aurra Sing figure.

I for one would love a Republic escape pod. It's more useful to me, albeit I'd take Sinker and Boost over some cadets, but the cadet uniforms are something we sorely need, so I wouldn't care. Add to the potential for younger faces in the medium flesh (?) tone is quite welcome also.

Same, I was actually super excited for the escape pod but yeah cadets are useful to get too. Your version of the minifigure selection would also pair nicely with the new Plo Koon.

Idk if they'll bother with new faces though. I guess technically they should look more like Bodie Taylor but they'll probably just stick with the default Clone head.

Boba doesn't wear a cadet uniform in AotC so all 3 of the (now-hypothetical) figures would have a new shared torso piece.

I think that hint was from when everyone - including the leakers - thought the GWP would be the escape pod.

Isn't the smaller Slave I already guaranteed to not be TCW-based? We've already got details on the Jango figure being different from the UCS version, and we know the 3rd figure is a Kaminoan of some kind.

I don‘t really care if the GWP is an escape pod or a Kaminoan facility. It‘s gonna be just more friggin Clones either way. What is this, Year of the Clone?! :laugh_hard: Can‘t wait for the AC with Boba, Jango, and even more Clones  At this point, it‘s just comedic.

I definitely would not mind a Kamino location for a set, GWP or not, and regardless of the size.
If true, this could be even better than the Republic Escape Pod :sweet:

Renown quoted his own Lucky hint when he said consensus shifted, which assumably means the hint was based on info that didn't pan out.

Correct.

To be fair, this one actually feels like a good choice for a GWP with Jango's Slave One. In a normal year I'd probably think it was fairly cool. It's just that this year is so overstuffed with clones.

Agreed, especially since we never had neither cadets nor the red shirts. My main gripe is still that we‘re getting what should‘ve been Clone content for five years in a single year  For instance, why are we getting both a UCS and a playset version of Jango‘s Slave One in the same year?!

It is what it is though. The U-Wing and the Night Trooper BP are exactly what I wanted, so I have at least these two to look forward to :sweet: Not saying I‘m not looking forward to the other sets, but these are the clear stand-outs to me.

So apparently, the GWP build is the KE-8 Enforcer Ship, a ship that appears blurry for two seconds in the background of a scene on Kamino in AOTC. The Lego SW design team must be watching the movies in slow motion to spot that kind of thing.. I would have preferred a small section of the cloning/training facility instead tbh

Where did you get this from, may I ask? If true, sounds decent! Prefer the Escape Pod, though.

I do like a deep cut. It's also referenced in the Essential Guide to Locations books.

@maxbautde & @get.cooped on instagram, they usually get future sets right

If it turns out it wasn’t a UT-AT after all this time, I might just flip over to the Clone bros side and wishlist to death UT-ATs of every size (MiFi, advent calendar, UCS, polybag, playset scale, downsized playset scale…). At this point, there will be people upset whichever way it goes. If the switch from a Death Star playset to a Star Destroyer riled feathers, I don’t want to imagine the outcome if the UT-AT rumor is false.

The UT-AT is pretty distinct, though, so how could there be a mixup? The only things they could be mistaken for it in a picture leak would be the AT-OT, another AT-TE, or the Fondor? Not to mention that the UT-AT is too random of a leak to have been a bad call. If it was a parts list leak, I guess it’s plausible a wrong conclusion was made based on the Galactic Marines—if that rumor was true at all. Besides, the UT-AT rumor started before we heard of the inclusion of Galactic Marines, so that doesn’t line up.

To summarize, the UT-AT has got to happen or something went drastically wrong here.

Just because its not presented to the public in the order of figs then set doesn't necessarily mean that the set information wasn't based on fig info. What I mean is that it is entirely possible that someone saw Galactic Marines and assumed the UT-AT was the only option

Strike that; the original rumor by lego_minecraft_goat mentioned two Galactic Marines. So that is a possibility. We’ll see.

Like I said, that doesn't really matter. But since you pulled it up I'd also like to point out he was very quick to point out that it was a rumor, something he doesn't normally do.

I'm still unconvinced the build of 75413 is a UT-AT

That’s grim, I do hope it exists. Can’t imagine what else it could be…the Magma Tri Droid won’t be big enough.

If it’s not a UT-AT I can see the following options (since otherwise the price point just doesn’t work for a fighter tank with galactic marines)

  1. A set with red guards (Palpatine throne room, Yoda vs Palpatine senate duel)
  2. A set with red troopers (Sith troopers, shock troopers, etc)
  3. Big grey vehicle (needle in a haystack of options)

But this irregularity gives me one thing:

Unless the set number and prices have been mixed up with the RTG set.

Well TBH I'm kinda bummed that the GWP seemingly isn't the Escape pod, more because of what it  represents than the actual set itself.

Because it would have a set explicitly based on TCW and whilst we have a lot of clone wars sets coming few of them actually seem to be based on specific scenes or moments in the show. Take the MTT, definitely in the show but Phase 2 Bly barely gets a cameo in the show and earlier story with Bly and Aayla has not MTT. The Galactic Marines? Not in the show, UT-AT? Nope.

I'd love to get specific characters and scenes from the show but aside from Centres, Rex and Ahsoka that rarely happens. It looks more like they're going through wookiepedia's list of GAR vehicles (with the odd CIS one) than looking at Show?

Wow. Nice one. Which panels will you be attending?

The Mando movie panel? SW animation panel? Respawn’s upcoming strategy game panel?

ATM it's the Mando&Grogu and Ahsoka Panels that I've got my place secured for but I'd like to see all of those, especially animation.

Thank you! That's one of the craziest ones to me and I don't get why more people aren't talking about it. Not only is it absurd, but self-competing

Not gonna lie I actually do like that, always love the super deep cuts from the movies. Any other year I'd be pretty happy with this GWP, and as is I'd be tempted to get it if not for the fact that since I don't want to buy 3 ARC-170s there's no way for me to reach the threshold with 2025 system sets.

Hearing that people thought it could be an RFT instead my money's still on it being a UT-AT with the set name "republic fighter tank", unless you've heard otherwise.
