And this is another thing! I also think it isn't just Lego deciding on what to make but Disney itself!

What large structure or scene could they make other than a castle? A non-castle basically eliminates a lot of locations/ fairy tales. They already had the flop of the remade mermaid. There's already a Snow White cottage. Perhaps Pride Rock? Encanto?

Yeah, I'm sure Disney has final say here considering they were obviously the ones pushing for that ill-fated mermaid remake set. Lego would have known that was a surefire flop.

I was wondering if might be a pirate ship. But Lego Icons is making the Black Pearl remake set so it can't be this one. And while Lego has shown a propensity to go back to Peter Pan over and over, it wouldn't make sense to make a Jolly Roger ship set if they're bringing back the Black Pearl this year as well.

This is the anniversary of Mary Poppins so I wonder if we could get a Cherry Tree Lane set. Especially since several were submitted to Lego Ideas.

Looks like  we have a few more things to look forward to:

10365 - Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl - September Release Date (Under Icons)

43279 - WALL-E and EVE - 811 pieces - September Release Date

43264 - Toy Story Celebration Train & RC Car - 206 Pieces - July Release Date

Yesss, a buildable Wall•E and Eve! This is amazing!

The Ideas Wall•E was one of the few sets I'm still really sad about missing out on, so that's a perfect opportunity to correct that mistake.

WALL-E and EVE will be fun.

Toy Story makes sense because it has its anniversary this year. I think it won't include any new minifigures since everyone major has already been covered.

Online people are also speculating if the $300 set could be something parks related like the Haunted Mansion or Epcot. Too bad it's probably not the Sleeping Beauty castle from Disneyland or Paris.

Wait, are we expecting Beauty and the Beast Castle?

Speculation is the new $300 D2C set could be a Beast's Castle set but nothing is confirmed yet

Wish we’d be getting a diorama of Andy’s room but hoping the set is on par with the original Toy Story sets which I feel were extremely well done. I have a feeling it’s going to disappoint and be a reiteration of the Disney train last year (with RC serving as the locomotive) but we’ll see.

I agree about the minifigs, but I have my fingers crossed for a Bo Peep (with Billy, Goat and Gruff of course) and maybe even Sid. One can also dream for Mr. And Mrs. Potato Head but won’t get my hopes up.

I’m all for the $300 set being Disney parks based but would also be game for the Beast’s castle. I’m still not convinced it won’t end up being the Disneyland castle.

I'm going to guess Beast's Castle is a lock as we have both Belle and Gaston sprinkled into movie-agnostic sets. Though I would much prefer the Haunted Mansion as a set.

Yeah, I'm expecting something similar to the previous Disney train.

I forgot that we don't have Bo Peep in her original dress. Hope we can get a minifigure of that finally. Especially with her sheep since the Toy Story 4 sets weirdly omitted them. If this Toy Story set is meant to represent the first film instead of the later ones, because of the 30th anniversary, then hopefully that would increase the chances to see Bo Peep and her sheep.

I think there's a licensing issue with the Potato Heads. Maybe Slinky Dog as well.

Just noticed high def photos of the new Lilo and Stitch set are up on the Lego website!

I’m a little bit late to this rumour, but wow .. hope that the Beast’s Castle rumour turns out to be true. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for minifigures. A couple of things I’m thinking of ..  not as expensive as the current Disney Castle .. minifigures .. yet not as low as the Ice Castle .. minidolls. The Belle minifigure from the Disney Magic set would be a perfect reuse for this set, as would Gaston. As much as I’d love all 4 of her outfits from the castle I dont think we’d get them all. I’d like to see the enchanted objects as both the objects and their human form, but that would mean 4 ( or possibly 5 / 6 ) extra minifigures, then with Belle and the Beast ( in both forms ) would be asking and expecting too many. Lastly I think Lego are banking on the Beast ( which will certainly be exclusive to this set ) being one of the main selling points of this set , I think as a minifigure he’ll be too small, but as a big fig literally too big, something in between would be great.

Ideal minifigure line up …. Beast / Prince Adam / Belle / Lumiere / Cogsworth / Mrs. Potts / Chip / Babette / Wardrobe / Gaston / Maurice .. that’s 11 .. there’s no way that’s’ happening 😂

Surprising that if the release date of April 1st is to be believed that we’re only hearing of this now. How they manage to keep certain things under wraps and not others baffles me at times,

I think chances of getting the objects in human form are pretty low. Belle, Gaston, Beast, Prince and maybe Lefou and Maurice at the most are the humans I would expect. That's already 6 figures plus the objects and maybe Philip the horse.

I think Beast will be a unique static mold as he doesn't fit bigfig, minifig or tallfig (Avatar, Jack) sizes. But it would be cool if they went with a bigfig for poseability.

I was looking at the HD photos of Lilo and Stitch house and when reading the description, I noticed it says  "It works with other LEGO ǀ Disney building sets (sold separately) and is ideal for gift-giving.". What does that mean? Which other sets it works with? Do they mean other houses like UP and Snow White?

It just means the bricks of other Disney Lego sets are compatible. Probably something in their contract with Disney to include that in the set description, since it's included in almost all Disney Lego sets. There's an ad for one of the Encanto sets, which sums it up as, the lego bricks can enhance other sets "Inspire Encanto fans with a play-and-display gift that can enhance other sets (sold separately) in the LEGO® ǀ Disney series."

The only other regular minifig I might want to squeeze into that lineup would be Belle's blue and white peasant attire - which I don't think would be unreasonable if the Beast technically has two versions.  I would even be willing to sacrifice Maurice to see it happen.

There's also a case that some of the prints for these guys could be used in other sets, like how Pippin's torso has now showed up in a few other sets. If they do that with one of the minifigs, that could let another one sneak in.

Reviews for the lilo & Stitch house are appearing. The set and figures look great and I'm very happy with the set. The only thing I don't like is that there are too many stickers and no printed piece at all.

With the new (rumored) Beauty and the Beast Castle, wouldn’t it make sense to have the Beast figure molded as a “big” figure, similar to the Maui figure or Hulk figure? The big figure would seem to fit his “shape” better than anything. That being said, I’d absolutely prefer minifigures to mini dolls for this set.

They didn't make a big fig for the Thing in the upcoming Fantastic Four set so it's unlikely they'll make one for the Beast. I think a minifigure suits him better anyway.

Agreed. A Big Fig would be way too big for The Beast, and the Toy Story limbs would be too lithe. Normal minifig will be best - he'll naturally end up taller than Belle with a custom head mold anyways.

Yeah, and it‘s not just the size, it‘s the posture. Ideally, Beast would consist of new pieces altogether, but a minifig with the „animal legs“ (as Bricklink calls them) and a new headpiece would be the best solution without going all out

The existing minidoll headpiece isn‘t bad at all (especially with more minifig-like printing), but since it‘s not compatible with minifigs, they have to come up with something new. But hey, no matter what they do, it‘ll look better than the silly super-lean minidoll Beast

I would like to be hopeful and say that perhaps the reason Lego has held off from making a beast mini figure is because they cannot do justice to it with the current mini fig parts. Wishful thinking. But at the end of the day, Lego tends to skimp, unless it is Star Wars. Sigh.

I wonder how close to reality is the rumor that there is a big D2C coming and it may be beauty and the beast – based. (then it turns out something completely different).

I suddenly remembered seeing some concept ideas for big figs, now these never were and probably never will be produced by Lego, but imagine if the Beast were done at this scale, I could see this working. I thought it was to big, but imagine once you put a Belle hairpiece on the minifigure that's stood there for scale. It's about the right height. As when they're dancing together her head rests on his chest area. They'd need to to the satyr legs in that size though. I keep hoping we might get a glimpse of something soon 😁

It seems I'm the only one who would prefer just a normal figure for Beast. I have all my minifigures together and I don't like how the bigger ones like Lotso or Rex stand out in the collection (I don't have Maui). I'm glad Lego did Baymax a normal minifigure and I hope Beast gets the same treatment. With a moulded head with horns it will be taller than Belle.

I agree a bigfig beast would look out of place. Perhaps they could take the long legs and have a slip over figure on it to match Beast's figure?
