NV Lego technic Posted February 16 Posted February 16 I don't know what piece are you referring to, the 5x11 panel already exists in yellow. Quote

They are also of the axle type, like the twisted 6L, 6L and the old 6L links. Here's 2 of them next to a 7L liftarm: I can't seem to see the new 2L beam with 2 pinholes and offset axle 2L on the side. I thought it would be in this set in yellow since it comes in yellow. SNIPE Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 Ah I see now, yeah I'm flad its 8L and that those towball beams are in black Quote
gyenesvi Posted February 16 Posted February 16 1 hour ago, Michael217 said: The new link 8L =) I also figured they are probably 8L, thanks for the reinforcement. A new length is really welcome. The new suspension arms seem 7L I guess, and with the new towball arm as extension, they form a 9L assembly together. So there's a bit of mismatch as usual.. The new arms will be usable with existing 9L links, even though they are only one sided, which is often a problem. Wish they'd also update the 9L to double sided at some point. Quote

gyenesvi Posted February 16 Posted February 16 58 minutes ago, Michael217 said: The new suspension arms 8L Oh, indeed, looks like it. Then there's even more difference between the suspension arms and the steering links. And we cannot build a proper geometry with the 9L links either. Bummer :( Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted February 17 Posted February 17 The good news is that there are quite a number of new useful pieces. The not so good news is that in order to prop up the value of this set in the eyes of MOCcer, they all appear in this set (and probably the other F1), and are likely to stay exclusive to this set for a while. Cardboy Posted February 17 Posted February 17 The new engine mount part looks like it could be useful outside or the engine. It seems to be a double bent lift arm with axle holes at each end at 45 degree angles? Also it now doesn’t have the bottom part you can mount a gear flush to the pistons blocks and place a beam on the outside which should help to make engines more compact and more places to mount the engine. Auroralampinen Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Here is speed build:) Here is overview of the sets:) Quote
Cardboy Posted February 25 Posted February 25 The new engine mount part is not as good as i though having just seen it in the Ferrari. Its a stud less version of the old part but at least the bottom part is a bit smaller so should fit better. The inclusion of axle holes should open up some other ways to attach an engine Quote
