Hadn't thought about GWPs. While they're live they often have an RRP ascribed on LEGO.com, but I don't know if anyone records that information since they're never actually sold.

Which GWP were you thinking?

I was mainly thinking about 40712 Micro Rocket Launchpad but also a few others. I would think they would be in the small category just by their shear size.

I think 40712 scrapes in at the top end of the small category, yeah.

I was also thinking about this, looking at the sets I have around the house. They are allowed, it's just a question of which category they land in?

For me, I am thinking about 40700 ( https://brickset.com/sets/40700-1/Winter-Holiday-Train )

All creations must be new for this contest and never before posted anywhere online.

If I post my new MOCs/contest entries here,  and also in other sites online (like facebook, youtube, my own blog). Will this be allowed?

I built alternate creations from official LEGO sets frequently and post video tutorials online on how to build them.

Yep you're free to post it wherever as long as it's new for this contest.

Hey, three questions.

#1 concerning sticker placement. Do stickers have to be on the exact same way as the original model, or can I place them wherever, given that they came from that set (context is that I got a set for the contest specifically, and placed the stickers in a different way)

#2 what topic would I put an alt build for a speed champions car? Would it be Lego town?

#3 do I have to be good at photography or can I just take a picture of my alt build sitting on a shelf?

#1 Stickers placed as intended would probably be more in the spirit of a traditional alt-build, but that's fine to apply them differently as long as they aren't modified (i.e. cut up).

#2 Yep Speed Champions goes in Town

#3 The contest isn't judged on photography, but your model is judged on aesthetics so make sure your photos are as clean and clear as possible so the judges will be able to see your work properly.

Follow up hail-mary- would this count as one set?

No. That's a multipack of individual sets.

LEGO has done many thousands of sets. I know everyone is limited by what they have (not suggesting anyone should buy anything for the contest), but there's really plenty of choice out there!

I have a question. Is there any specific bottom limit for what qualifies as a alternate build?

What do you mean by bottom limit?

Just how close to using all the parts of a set we have to get?

Oh. No hard rule but I think at least 50% of the parts, if not more like 75%.

I guess 10327 Dune Royal Ornithopter is out of range with 165 $ RRP, right? I happen to have an unpublished alternate build at hand...

Yes, unfortunately just out of range.

Do the models shown after contest was started count towards the rule and can be submissioned?

Models have to be first posted as a contest entry or at least first posted simultaneously as a contest entry and elsewhere, so if you have already made and posted something and then found out about the contest, that wouldn't be within the rules unfortunately.

I have found out earlier, like posted here:

I just did not posted them here, both were shown January 2nd (just forgot about this topic...)

To enter, post a new topic in the section of Eurobricks where discussion of your set's theme would be found - i.e. if it's a Star Wars set, post it in the LEGO Star Wars section; if it's an Adventurers set, post it in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes, etc. (ask here if you're unsure).

We're supposed to post in the forum of the original set, not the forum that fits the theme of our modification, did I get that right?  Which forum is home to Speed Champions?

Edit: I see my second question has been answered already, they're in town.

That was the idea, but I also won't disqualify you for posting it where you feel like as long as you enter it in the Entry topic.
