TBF there wasn't any animal headed characters outside of the Serpentine in Ninjago until the Merge Frohicky could be from Chima/The Wyldness Quote

According to lite mods Kreel and Dorama will also be in the crossroads. Quote

mantax Posted January 19 Posted January 19 The next magazine includes Evil Jay. For me personally that was my most wanted summer minifigure to be included here. It's a shame he doesn't have the armor piece, but I don't really care too much about that, as he isn't a part of any suit line. Now after that we should get s3 Arin with a grappling hook, Kai with a double sided sword and Zane with a crossbow, there might also be other minifigures inbetween them. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 20 Posted January 20 I really hate how half the minifigures in the magazines don't include the shoulder pads. They really make most of the suits work—there's a reason they are there in the first place. Quote
PlanetLEGO Posted January 20 Posted January 20 Really intrigued by the Crossroads set. I'm kind of past my NINJAGO era, but I always love an interesting city build like NINJAGO City and Megapolis. Quote
Agent Kallus Posted January 21 Posted January 21 (edited) Update from fateful on the crossroads : - Expect pictures soon - Twitchy Tim, Dorama, and Doctor Larow will be included - He's no longer sure Frohickey will be. - Geo and Kreel might be included - standard generic civilians will be included - no more details given on the actual build Edited January 21 by Agent Kallus Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Damn, sucks that Frohicky most likely won't end up being in the set after all. Still, I like the fact that they're including multiple side characters in such a set who we otherwise wouldn't have gotten in regular waves. Quote
Takanuinuva Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Why Twitchy Tim? He's not even in Dragons Rising. Also Generic Civilians is a boo from me. We get those enough in the Ninjago City Modulars. Quote
Rolyat24 Posted January 22 Posted January 22 We also got news about 71847 Guardian Dragon from fateful (1650 pieces, $149.99, releasing in June). It’s said to be “a diorama with a huge and detailed Lloyd’s dragon and a small temple on the rocks” and comes with two minifigures. I’m conflicted. I’m glad they’re acknowledging the older/adult audience with this, but I don’t like that it’s a dragon (speaking as someone who almost exclusively buys Ninjago dragons). Is this going to replace larger dragon playsets like the source dragon of motion? Will it be jointed and swooshable? I think I’d rather get a full playset with a ton of figures. I’m sure it’ll look great, and no doubt I’ll eat my words, but it makes me less excited. Interesting to see Twitchy Tim in the crossroads. Seems like TLG is still willing to make highly-desired figures from previous seasons, even if only from a few years back. Maybe there’s hope for more characters yet! Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I don't really get why a 150€ diorama is a... dragon, mostly? Like literally a huge dragon on a black baseplate with a small temple? Sounds kinda pointless. Quote
mantax Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I'm a bit less interested in the Guardian dragon set. As I was more interested in the temple part, and now it is said to a small side build that isn't even mentioned in the set name anymore. We did get 2 solid large Lloyd dragons before, this one will most likely be a lot bigger then them, but I don't care too much about that, as from the name I expected this to be more of a unique dragon(like Egalt or the Arc dragon). With all that being said, from the descriptions I imagine this display to look really nice, as well as my only Lloyd dragon is the Ninjago movie one, so I'm still kinda looking forward to this. I see this set having an exclusive Lloyd minifigure, in the same way as Cole in the Titan Dragon mech. The other minifigure I expect to be a villain, and for that it would most likely be a member of the Forbidden 5. Quote

I mean on the one hand it's not like current relevance of or lack there of has ever stopped them before, on the other nothing to stop him from showing up in Dragons Rising Season 3 . Yeah the generic civilians makes me think Ninjago city but I guess the blacksmith in the tournament temple city counts as one too. Quote
THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 22 Posted January 22 Big Ninjago news: a new series is coming! there will be a new ninjago tv series called Ninjago Monstrosity also thanks to Tommy 71847 Guardian Dragon features a dragon standing on rocks with a movable head, arms and scales. It has large wings. There is a pond with a floating, magical sword. It features only Master Wu. Fire Knight Mech includes Kai with a magic sword and a Fisherman on a boat. It has a massive Kai mech fighting an ancient sea monster with tentacles. Both based on the new series Everything from lite on the Ninjago Discord. Quote

Huh, well that is not something I was expecting at all. Really curious to see if this is going to be a full series or more of a mini thing, and also if it's canon to the main show. Also makes me wonder if anything else we're getting this summer is part of that series? It's interesting that with these two sets at least, they both seem to be more targeted at an older audience? I doubt the show won't be kid friendly but it makes me wonder nonetheless. Quote

Not sure how, but im also not sure why they wouldn't just tell us what the build is. Im expecting pictures by February 1st. I think I should also reevaluate my thought process if I immediately jump to "controversial". 34 minutes ago, THELEGOBATMAN said: Big Ninjago news: a new series is coming! there will be a new ninjago tv series called Ninjago Monstrosity also thanks to Tommy 71847 Guardian Dragon features a dragon standing on rocks with a movable head, arms and scales. Ok so yes im confused as well, but more so actually excited that they are still trying to keep ninjago fresh and unique. I do wonder how this new show is going to work because obviously dragons rising has a good few years ahead of it so I actually have no clue how or when its going to fit into the cannon or if it will be cannon. It's so confusing so I'll wait and see what happens I guess. Kind of disappointed that the mech likely isnt going to be a true titan mech, but it was probably built and designed to titan mech standards, so internally it will be one (I will see what Lee says in the write ups, if he did it). THELEGOBATMAN Posted January 22 Posted January 22 I am really excited to hear more about this new series. Wonder how I'll work with Dragons Rising, and whether it's a smaller side project or an actual second series. The sets themselves seem to be targeted at adult collectors, since both of them are allegedly more diorama-styled, with both the mech and the dragon placed on a baseplate with some scenery. The lack of minifigures is kind of disappointing though. Quote
Lyichir Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Personally I'm glad there will be civilian minifigures. A city setting like the Crossroads would feel wrong if it were populated only by named characters, most of whom are heroes or villains of some variety. You need a neutral, non-combatant population to help make the setting feel lived in and not just a playground for action heroes, same as with the Ninjago City sets. Quote

Zane, Pixal, a dragonian, Twitchy Tim, Dorama, LaRow, 2+ civilians, and the almost inevitable Sora and Arin is at least 10 and doesn't leave any room for Geo or Kreel, so maybe it won't have Arin or Sora? Quote
mantax Posted January 23 Posted January 23 A new series does sound really exciting, especially if there is a chance it would be more mature, because of the age ranges of the sets. In my mind I imagine this maybe being like the Golden Legend legacy short, which was a lot more serious. There are also more details said by Tommy, which were not posted by Lite. So 71847 - On the stand there's also a lantern and a gate, while the Fire Knight Mech has a cape and spear. The builds for both of these sets sound absolutely gorgeous from these information, they definitely would make great displays. But on the other hand the minifigure selection in these is quite lacking, especially with the Fire Knight Mech, which has only 996 parts for $120, and also since this will be a Diorama a lot of the parts would be small. At least the minifigures should be exclusive to these sets, as they won't be based on s3. But still you get these sets for the eye catching build, so minifigures aren't that much important here. I could also see the Temple Bounty being a part of these new line, as it is also a 14+ set with a great PPP. But then there would only be 6 sets for s3 in the summer, and with that there will be less set options to get the Forbidden 5. However there won't be a chance that one of them could be exclusive to set over $100. Quote
a guy from somewhere Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Lego 71837 Ninjago City Workshops 14+ NINAGO 3244 pieces, 11 minifigs, 249.99, March 1, 2025 The set consists of two buildings mainly of reddish brown and dark orange colour A Twitchy-led Mech is also included and contains 11 minifigures: Zane, Pixal, Harumi, Dorama, DR. Larow, Twitchy Tim, Model Shop Owner, Workshop Mechanic, Restaurant Worker, Dragonian Tourist, Dorama's and Puppet source - Tavix news. Confirmation at last. Super hyped! Quote
a guy from somewhere Posted January 23 Posted January 23 (edited) Reveal feb 1st, there’s an awfully cropped and edited leaked image of a section of the set going around, nothing much is able to be gained from it aside from the fact the walkway seems to be much higher than the other modules, although the image has been distorted in such a way that this is likely wrong. Casual harumi is head and Zane can be seen. Looks like there’s 2 buildings and a walkway joining them in the middle. Maybe a billboard at the top of one of the buildings.
