I'm excited to see rather moderate piece counts of castle builds! Deadline is June 15th, so we could see leaks of the real set before this competition ends, but castle MOCs of less than 3000 pieces is always inspiring. More interesting with the new Ideas GWP competition then: https://beta.ideas.lego.com/challenges/5ef2c3ef-c229-4417-9728-6ab8df89024a?tab=info Quote
Roebuck Posted March 31 Posted March 31 Looks like kraken and griffin are in the Ideas set. Disappointed Ravens did not make it, but maybe Lego have other plans for them. Strange if they ended up on third place, but great with 2 new fractions in the set Quote

Maybe a new colour? Or with different barding on it. Seems odd that they've chosen two factions for the minifigure gumball machine. It's almost a shame that they've spread themselves thin, unless the plan is to do a castle wave next year to bring a bit more depth to both of them. Quote
Darth Phallus Posted March 31 Posted March 31 In this next castle apparently horses are brick-built. Quote

No horse in that set I think Even if the knight apparently are new.. Just now, mikie mcbrick said: How do you know? Latest leak, 2 spacemen also (had forgotten they where part of the vote), Pirate?, Paradisa, Fabuland (not sure how they are pulling of that), 1 fig with the ideas logo and 2 more. We are getting close to 1 of April so should take some extra salt with the leaks now Quote

Does any one know if those dual molded black/ brown legs of the beauty and the beast castle will show up on PAB? because they will go great with the wolfpack torso. 2 minutes ago, Renny The Spaceman said: Shame, liked the ravens a lot i prefer new faction so this sounds like a win to me. They're close, but not sure if Nintendo is strict on the design and use of the heads. To keep it medieval-related, I wouldn't mind a new animal head in neutral time period (no hats) for fantasy builds. Fabuland had a cow head, so that'd be fun to get for minotaurs or World of Warcraft. Quote

We get one of each in a single large set then a few months later they go up on bricks and pieces for a couple days max before being all bought up, the pieces will be put back up a couple times with the same results then when they're bought up for the last time the figures are 30 quid on bricklink Quote

This is more likely but there first place my mind went was the Ninjago lord Raz head for Cathy Cat, which really wouldn't work. Is nice that they've doing more than one of them. Hopefully they'll end up on Pick A Brick. 2 hours ago, Renny The Spaceman said: I hate new factions/Space colours being released this way. I know it's better but I still don't like it. I've not used pick a brick for castle figs but with CS it was like that with the orange astronaut parts for ages. I'd be happy to be very wrong about this though Quote
Artanis I Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Glad to have 2 chosen, but I agree with the sentiments regarding difficulty in obtaining multiples to build a proper faction. Quote
Yperio_Bricks Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I am very happy to hear the Kraken Knights won I hope they will eventually become available via PAB. If they will end up at PAB, it will be the first medieval faction i'll get for an little army. And a moc for them Kraken Knights will be the first medieval moc I plan to build since I was a child. Its the Griffions that won! The Krakens are just the consolation prize! Quote

MAB Posted April 1 Posted April 1 I've still got some of the Atlantis squid warriors. I wonder if they will become sought after for statues soon. Quote

They're in the right color family for the Kraken Knights! As another way to expand the Kraken Kingdom, my D&D Mindflayers are patiently waiting for their Kraken knight. Quote

Just wanted to indicate that in my opinion it was the Griffins that got the most votes, not the Krakens. Quote
mikie mcbrick Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Is it just me or is 2025 beginning to look like a good year for lego castle fans? Quote
Triceron Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Every year since Blacksmith has been a good year for castle fans. We got medieval town square and Bat lords, return of Wolfpack, and now new factions. Whatever Castle hasn't offered, Bricklink Designer Program has provided. And D&D opened up a ton of moc potential. If anything, I just want smaller sets, not just big sets, GWP and the odf CMF. FOMO is real when trying to collect other themes while also being a Castle fan. Quote
