mpj Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 When I saw the Kamaz 8x8 Arctic truck for the first time, I thought is could be a perfect subject for a Lego Technic moc. The truck is an 8x8 articulated hauler, with a tipping bed and a small crane. My model uses 56mm tractor tyres, so it is more or less in minifigure scale. Functions: - 8x8 with fake engine - articulated steering with HoG - rear pendular suspensions - tipping bed - operating crane It is not super detailed as it should be, but for the scale I think it is enough. Instructions are available on Rebrickable: https://reb.li/m/177379 Quote
jorgeopesi Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Really nice MOC, I saw it on rebrickable and it is a serious must buy for me. Quote
Milan Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Kamaz, together with Ural, has just the right amount of that ruggedness that a Russian truck needs to have. This Kamaz Artic is just one more example of that. When it came out, I was in love with the 6x6 version (it has thinner, but equally tall tires) with an RV module behind the cabine. Frontpaged. Quote
2GodBDGlory Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Nice job! It's a pretty cool truck you're modeling, and you've got the looks to be very slick! The blue always looks good, too Quote

Thanks! I hope somebody, one day, will be able to build a bigger version, with full suspensions and maybe some motorozed functions, I know there are many talented mocers out there Quote
Jundis Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Brilliant model with lovely blue color scheme :-) Somehow, this model seems way bigger. I first thought it would be with the 81 mm tires. Sadly, this ladder piece isn't available in orange :-/ Quote

nerdsforprez Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Great Build! Wonderful choice at this scale and executed great. I love that front end, looks so beefy and rugged. Quote
nico71 Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Very nice creation ! The level of detailed is very good at this scale. I though initially it was bigger indeed. Great use of the "new" small panel. LegendOfLeo actually built a bigger version of the articulated 6x6 : Quote
