Changbricks Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 If you think about it, this set comes with Mystique too, as her power allows her to become any character On the real though, this set is heat! Hopefully, they release some more X-Men sets next year to fill out the roster -- a follow-up set with a standalone Sentinel with Jubilee, Morph, and Nightcrawler would be perfect. Or maybe an Asteroid M that's just a big hunk of BURPs stuck together? Regards, Changbricks

RobbieHxC Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Assuming this leak is real, does anyone think that the set number 76294 could be covering up a minifgure, eg Magneto? Gambit and Storm seem to be attacking that location, and it's not like LEGO to miss a chance to put Magneto in an X-Men set.
Lego Nostalgia Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 A Comic Deadpool CMF with the Deadpool Core would be so cool, Headpool,Ladypool,Venompool and more from the comics

Gambit and Storm seem to be attacking that location, and it's not like LEGO to miss a chance to put Magneto in an X-Men set. So, given we can’t find Bishop (maybe just because the pictures are mega blocks) and we had another list of figures a while back that is different (no, not that 2014 one that was obviously fake), I’m gonna go out on a limb and say there’s a handful of figures that aren’t being shown. So, this is just speculation on my part, but here’s the other characters I think will be included (in order from most to least likely). Beast with a lab coat. One of the most obvious rooms to include in the mansion is a lab for Beast. It wouldn’t make sense to include that and no Beast. Plus, he only needs a new lab coat torso print. Magneto. For all intents and purposes this is the big X-Men set. I can’t see them skipping the big villain. I could them just reusing the X-Jet figure, but if they want to keep that exclusive, they just need a new torso and a new helmet mold (assuming they can’t bring back the old one). Morph. The only other character that was on the last list not included here. Allows them to recycle the expensive new legs for Cyclops. Only needs a new head and torso. Plus, they can include alternate existing pieces for “playability.” Kitty Pryde. Yes, she’s not in X-Men 97. Neither is Iceman (If it weren’t for his inclusion, I wouldn’t be considering it. But it seems Lego and Marvel are open to other X-Men appearing here). She’s one of the most popular characters and a lot of fans’ favorite. She only needs a new torso print (specifically the yellow outfit). And they can reuse the new dragon mold from Dungeons and Dragons. Also, adds some diversity since she’s a woman and that seems to be a factor Lego considers when designing sets (if you have a problem with that, bring it over to the DC thread. 😝) Angel. Allows them to round out the founding five and reuse the wings from D&D. Only needs a new head and torso. Also a rather popular character. Now, the obvious picks I don’t see happening are: Jubilee (saved for CMF due to complexity), Nightcrawler (same deal), and Deadpool (go read through the past 85 pages, the case against him happening has been made numerous times). CF Mitch Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Having just seen the leaks regarding the X-Mansion, my excitement for it is incredibly high, once more! The minifigure line-up sounds absolutely fantastic and the inclusion of a Sentinel is great news too I also love that, according to the description, it will be as I hoped/expected: an enclosed build with full interior, but modular elements (probably like being able to separate each floor?) Aw, man, I can't wait Regards, Mitch
Sinistereo Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Happy August 1st to my fellow Americans who now have access to the 2024 marvel wave. Which set(s) are you guys going to grab? I bought the Ragnarok set

hikouki Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 Someone pointed out that the X mansion has the same footprint of the modular museum but 1k less parts. Somewhat worrying. However, could there be just a large hall inside? The fact that it is modular, this will probably be a day one purchase for me, and just because I am also an Xmen fan.

Although the purple blob underneath Storm looks more like Magneto to me, even if others are saying they think it's Jean. I do hope it's an upgraded version of his classic costume with dual molded legs. 4 hours ago, psqidexslizer said: Morph. The only other character that was on the last list not included here. Since Iceman's made it in, likely over Morph, I can potentially see them going the route of replacing Jubilee with Kitty. Two '97 characters replaced with overall more iconic and popular characters central to the X-Men mythos, regardless of whether they've been in the new show or not. The D2C set can get away with including non-show characters unlike the CMF series which would have to feature characters from the series so it would make sense to save Jubilee and Morph for that. Even if Jubilee provides more diversity to the X-Mansion set than Kitty would. Although Kitty without Colossus, Nightcrawler (and presumably Lockheed) would feel quite strange. Hoping Iceman comes with an ice slide of sorts. If there is a flying character underneath the set number, it could also be Angel. X-Men '97 has the big portrait of the O5 X-Men in the mansion so it would make sense if the set also features a similar portrait. In which case, featuring all five O5 members as minifigures in the set would be a natural choice.
Duke27 Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 By the way, is sentinel head brickbuilded or a one mold? If it’s a mold, what part number it is? So sad there is no new hairs for Rogue..

Agreed. Rogue desperately needs dual molded arms and legs and a new hairpiece. I like the torso print, so I wouldn’t want that changed. The rest though, plenty of room for improvement. I wonder what the odds of us getting an X-Men ‘97 CMF are, seeing as there’s not much else from Disney+ being released. Probably not gonna happen, but I can dream.

At least near me, that series was a bit of a disaster - in part because of the switch to boxes (with no codes to scan for contents), and in part because most people just wanted a few of the minifigs and had zero interest in the rest. An X-Men '97 series would certainly provide more characters (and would be a lot cheaper than a $330 mansion), but it could be seen as even more niche than just a general Marvel series to get made.

But also to be fair, at least in my experience talking to people, besides Moon Knight, the X-Men figures were the most sought after in Series 2, and in a lot of cases I saw, the ONLY figures some people were after. I guess that can't really translate to sales figures, but surely LEGO keeps an eye on reactions?
JeanGreyForever Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 I know I only bothered with the X-Men minifigs from Series 2. And the MCU shows seem to be declining in quality with every new one so I can't imagine what characters they'll scrounge up next since Daredevil is off limits. I don't think they'll go the route of an X-Men '97 only CMF series but I would love that and there's enough characters and costume changes to sustain 12 slots. Nightcrawler, Jubilee, Morph, Sunspot, Forge, Cable, Mr. Sinister, Bastion, brown suit Wolverine, Jean Grey as Marvel Girl, classic 70s Cyclops, classic 70s Storm, Brotherhood Rogue, X-Cutioner, Goblin Queen, Lilandra, Deathbird, Gladiator, Shi'ar Professor X, and Val Cooper. Not to mention a more accurate version of reformed Magneto since the X-Jet version is horribly done from the hairpiece to the color of his costume.

The X-Mansion doesn't look to be as tall as the Museum which would account for less parts. There's also the possibility of it using large wall panels in some areas like the Sanctum Sanctorum did. 3 hours ago, Duke27 said: By the way, is sentinel head brickbuilded or a one mold? For sure, I ended up buying a full set, but the X-Men were easily my favourites. And yeahhhh. What's even coming out on Disney+ soon? The Agatha show... but she already has a figure. Ironheart, I guess? That'd only really be Riri, though, unless they go more for villains and make Hood and Mephisto. And then there's Wonder Man, but who knows when that's coming, and again, it'd only really be Wonder Man himself, most likely. I can't see a 97 only CMF, but what I COULD see happening is a Marvel Animation specific CMF, given that X-Men '97 season 2, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and Eyes of Wakanda are all releasing within a pretty short timeframe by the looks of things My bets, if they did that, would be 1.Wolverine (brown suit) 2. Nightcrawler 3. Jubilee 4. Morph 5. Sunspot 6. Spider-Man (maybe the homemade looking suit?) 7. Nico Minoru (she's supposedly one of Peter's friends in the show) 8. Dr Strange (he appears in his classic outfit, that'd be awesome) 9. Daredevil (maybe? he's in the show, but it just looks kinda like the black Netflix suit - still, a way to tie into Born Again without ACTUALLY doing it) 10. Black Panther (whichever appears and is most interesting) 11. Iron Fist (supposedly in Eyes of Wakanda, an earlier version though) 12. uhhhhh.... more X-Men? Cable?

Probably not an X-men only CMF, unless the series ends up being a runaway box office hit, and there are also movies released one after another. But we could probably only hope that the next Marvel CMF give more real estate to X-men characters.

There's S3 of What If? as well. Strange Supreme was a pretty significant character in the first two seasons so I can see him getting a minifigure now. The main strike against an all animated line is that the animated shows don't do nearly as well as the live-action shows on Disney+. Both What If? and X-Men '97 were their highest rated animated shows but '97 was still way below Echo in terms of viewers and Echo was one of the least watched MCU shows. Although Ms. Marvel still holds the record for being the least watched MCU show.
