2GodBDGlory Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Looks somewhat interesting--the rear axle looks like it has an axle and a micro V4 suspended on a basic trailing arm principle, but then that whole module appears to be jointed for pendular suspension as well. Then it looks like you can tilt the whole car in order to steer it? Quote
pow Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Nice Set. I like it! Good parts and also a shock absorber. Fun Fact, i made a few tilt steering cars from small Technic sets recently. My best is this one, for 42116 reb.li/m/161017 I claim that TLG copied from me! (kidding of course!) Quote

That was my first impression too, but not sure if it's just the angle of the photo. The box does not show that you have to tilt it. On the other hand, it does not have a HoG either. 37 minutes ago, Jundis said: In the third function pic on the lower backside, is it just a door or another function? I thought it's something functional, but you are probably right that it just opens the panel. It's okay for a mini set. Is this car transporter scale? Quote

Maaboo the Witch Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 They seriously couldn't think up anything cleverer than "Buggy" for the stickers? We really are looking at Brutalis and En Gyne in the rear-view mirror. Quote

Arioh Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 This set totally got my attention. While space theme is fresh and outlandish in goo way, i doubt that i will get any of them. But this small buggy gives me strong 42022 B-Model and 42124 vibe. Most likely will be my only purchase from first wave of 2024 sets... And 100% will build it from my spares when instruction will be avalible.. Quote
howitzer Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 With those slick tyres I wonder where's the offroad in this set... Quote

Oh, how are you able to remember this set? I would have forgotten years ago. Did i mention, that my MOC has a working steering wheel and the role cage can be folded up. 6 hours ago, howitzer said: With those slick tyres I wonder where's the offroad in this set... Luckily they did this weird tires! I was afraid TLG would recycle the tires from the pullback monster trucks. And what also speaks against offroad capabilities is the supposed tilt steering as it leads to heavy suspension steer when driving offroad. Quote
lmdesigner42 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I'm impressed by all the features they packed into this small model! Reminds me a bit of a modern take on 8048. I think the 8066 B-model had a bit of tilt-to-steer going on too, but only on the front axle. Also, I just realized from looking at these images that the coiling on the soft spring was updated this year. Quote

And last year the tractor of the set 60344 retriggered my inner child. It uses parts 69963 and 69964 to form this steering. 1 hour ago, Bartybum said: I think playability was prioritised for this over realism. But I can also empathize with Howitzer's thoughts. ...Why doesn't TLG name the set simply "Street-Buggy"? Best wishes :) Edited December 3, 2023 by pow Quote
anyUser Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Which of the parts are Bright Blue respectively Dark Azur?Cross block would be new in azure while both rims would be new in blue. Quote

I think parts are regular blue and neon yellow. Was also thinking that the front rim is new in that color. Edited December 3, 2023 by gyenesvi Quote
R0Sch Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Lol, someone messed up the photoshoping trying to recolor a red 3L pin with axle in the front to blue just because the left side looks messier than the other. Pretty lame if even LEGO is bothered by colorful pins. Quote

R0Sch Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) Finished the whole model! The only thing I'm unsure about is if the steering works with a pin in the middle of the black steering beam like I did or not. Maybe someone can verify it irl. Never mind, the back of the box shows it. 42164.io Edited December 4, 2023 by R0Sch Quote
schraubedrin Posted December 4, 2023 Posted December 4, 2023 Looks good. I'm always impressed what you guys can achieve on so little visual information. Although in the product picture both doors can be opened independently, and i would wager they will be mounted on some form of friction? Quote

This one was pretty easy since not many details were hidden. And good tip about the independent doors. Deleted the 3L axle connector. And yes, they are hinged on friction pins. Quote
