Seriously, with all the extra development time this set had, TLG couldn't do what took one of our members three months to do? I'm very curious Sure, it can be found on his website www.designer-han.com/lego There's a video there as well, and he sells instructions here It used to be listed on Rebrickable as MOC-2542 but now it's disabled for some reason. It was discussed on Eurobricks too. Edited November 15, 2023 by RussianGuy Quote
JaBaCaDaBra Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Sorry, it's also lowered by motor, no freefall slamming into the ground. but ... It is really an awesome moc. Quote
RussianGuy Posted November 15, 2023 Posted November 15, 2023 Look at the video at about 3:10. Sure, it's probably not as spectacular as the real thing but it looks pretty much free falling to me, so the spirit of the original machine is captured :) And the Eurobricks review I linked discuses how it is done. Yeah, according to that review the winches are disconnected using driving rings, so they would be free-falling. Quote
