Yeah that’s my mistake, I wrongly said Ras would have a mech after misinterpreting some of the audio in the duckbricks interview, sorry about that. They were referring to the wolf mech in the Kai mech set that’s in January, not the climber mech.

Ah, I knew I had seen it somewhere!

There's a mini ninjago city set doing the rounds on instagram. Looks like a real set. Anyone know anything about it?

Given the set number, and the subject matter, it's likely an upcoming GWP. I don't get many Ninjago sets, and got the City Markets last week, so there's nothing left on my wish list. Slight regret, especially if they make this into a series, but it doesn't look like there is anything exclusive in there.

Oh, that looks awesome! As an avid Ninjago City collector who has all four sets displayed in my room I'll definitely wanna get these mini ones.

It almost certainly a GWP, But thats fine. I prefer GWP's like this and not a coveted remake of a classic set.... well a classic set that's full sized remake. As long as the threshold is not ridiculous, it should be a fine GWP. It just not for me.

I was scrolling through Instagram just now, and I was recommended a picture from one of the leaks hashtags. I checked the user’s profile, and all four of their posts, all from four hours ago, are blurred images of sets with the CONFIDENTIAL stamp over them. Three of them are Star Wars, and one is from Ninjago. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think I’m supposed to give their account name, so I’ll just describe the images, if that is allowed. I already described the Star Wars ones over on that thread

The Ninjago set is a small one, just a corner build of a dark grey and black structure with a tree with pink leaves coming out of the side, green leaves on the bottom, and a white thing on top. The sole minifigure’s torso, legs, and head are all white, but they have on Kai’s mask piece from the Legacy sets and a gold katana.

I’m not sure if this matches any leaks from  upcoming Ninjago sets. As I said with the Star Wars ones, I’m hesitant to believe that these sets are real, but I thought it was worth sharing.

EDIT: The Star Wars sets posted with this one were said to be fake, so I would imagine that this one is a fake, as well.

I’ve said names before. Can you DM me the name of the user? Interested to see this.

Fake. This is the same person that started the fake Jedi Temple and Z-95 rumours.

Yeah just seen them. Thanks though@Rwbricks . Looks like they have “2022” on the confidential stamp sadly, I wouldn’t mind seeing another small £9 set like the vermillion ambush from 2017. Guess it was someone’s take on it but for this wave.

Feel this- miss the small location sets like the Ambush set or Training set from 2011, or the Venomari Shrine from 2012. I like mechs but I miss Ninjago having more affordable location builds, they're my favorite.

Summer prices are out. Looks like we are getting another modular, cant wait to see what they come up with. Suprised though it didn’t make a cameo on the back of the box of the GWP. Hopefully it’s a corner module because I need a new one to complete my dreams of a full square. I only need one more. 5 other sets are rumoured. A $10 one, a $50 one (quite a jump there), a $90 set, a $100 set and a $150 set. Very very expensive wave, I guess they took all the small sets from the summer and put them to January. The $50 set has 660 parts and for some reason the $90 set has 570 parts, there had better be a damn good reason for that sets price. Maybe a mech? $150 set I remember was rumoured to be a giant dragon (I think) so I’m excited to see that. Hopefully a large 4 winged dragon.

71814 - 3489 Pieces, $249.99
71816 - 84 Pieces, $9.99
71820 - 659 Pieces, $49.99
71821 - 576 Pieces, $89.99
71822 - 1716 Pieces, $149.99

Not sure what is up with 71821, unless it is a 4+ set; also, 71814 is almost certainly not a Ninjago City entry, since the past two have been over $350.

I got 2 opposite points to make for some thought making here, Ninjago city sets can’t keep getting bigger, it has to come down eventually, and I’m all for a smaller expansion. I could see them doing a smaller, shorter version of gardens without the side temple, maybe with some modular-type deal so you can reconfigure the buildings/rooms (like the recent Lego city sets like downtown and apartments) and have it as a generic Ninjago city set. I had an idea a while back for a sliding mechanism inside a custom module to swap it from a corner to a straight module. Obviously something like that would be too hard to accomplish in an official set but I’d like to see a generic, smaller city set.

My counter point is that I believe there was a “dragon stone temple” rumoured that had garmadon and a couple other figs in and was described as “the closest we would get to a UCS ninjago set” and I could easily see it being that set, but I can’t remember if the set numbers line up. I have to say though I’m not like the price tag. It had better be pretty insane.

I believe you’re forgetting something:

anyway, as soon as I saw the rumor, I began making measurements for this future expansion, and it’ll fit in my ninjago city!

Here are my predictions for the sets. I don't really see most of them being accurate, since we have only a small amount of information. But it's always fun to predict.

I do know that it was said that the wave would include a cole mech, giant dragon and a new ultra sonic raider. But I don't really see that being true since that felt a bit too early for that to be revaled. But if they somehow were I could see them being like this: Cole mech - 71818, The ultra sonic raider - 71821, Giant dragon -71822

71816 - I could see this being a small car or just a vehicle on wheels.

71818 has an amazing price per part, it's 50 with 659 pieces, the piece count is

really simillar to the 71812 - Kai's climbing mech, so that might be a mech aswell.

I can see 71820 being a dragon since the price might be justified a bit because of the moulded parts that dragons usually have, like Egalt has only 532 pieces but he still feels quite sizeable even with a side build. But it might be just a Hoopty / X-Jet sittuation.

71821 - this could be a temple, since I don't see a ninjago wave without temples and the price and piece count feel just right for that.

71822- with a big price and piece count like that I could see this being someting in the style of set 71796. maybe a dragon + terrain build + something for the villains

71814 I can see being The Crossroads, I don't see anything alse from current ninjago being that price. But to have a new ninjago D2C this early feels really weird.

I mean the Hoopty,  X-jet and also Arin's buggy have 4+ set price per parts as well, and they are just regular sets.

The Dragonstone Temple is 71819, priced at 120€ with 1212 pieces.

Yeah just looked it up, sorry. Still, glad it’s a March set. It’s gonna be one expensive year! I’ve seen 2 people (comments) so far claim that it’s confirmed not to be a city set, although I haven’t seen a source, nothing from big leakers. One mentioned @Brick Clicker claimed it’s not a city set but I haven’t seen anything from the man himself, so I’m still holding out hope.

Wow, another Ninjago D2C? This comes out of nowhere for me. I had mentally prepared myself for the Dragonstone Temple as the largest Ninjago set this year (i.e. 2024), especially since the markets are still so fresh. But...that's of course wonderful, no matter what it turns out to be. Another expensive year :angel_sing:

However, the list of Ninjago Mocs is getting longer and longer, the Dojo is currently EOL and is yet to move in alongside the other NC Sets. Plus you can definitely make something out of the new MonkieKid Megapolis city and there are still so many MOCs on Rebrickable. The new CNY Diner can an also be easily integrated, it's best to do it twice so that it is completely closed and not in a dollhouse style.

The Crossroads would be awesome to get!

True, though Ninjago sets normally do not have weird PPPs (aside from gimmick sets); also, there are no licensing costs.
I am curious about Arin's buggy as well, since I cannot see it having a bunch of large pieces (as a dragon might).

I actually think it would be cool if Lego started making sets based off the crossroads, but kept them compatible with the ninjago city sets! That way newer fans won’t feel pressured to buy ninjago city gardens and ninjago city markets, and can start a whole new lineup, while older fans who have the older modulars can still add to their city! Another theory I have for 71814 is borg tower, as next year is the 10th anniversary of rebooted

 - Chronosteel is back! I am very curious to see how this factors into the overall plot, since it can steal/channel Elemental Powers. Maybe, since Source Dragons are the sources of these powers, their power can be harnessed via Chronosteel. Perhaps Jordana was the one who ordered the shipment?
 - Cole and Sora have some kind of device on their backs that is not represented either by moulds or prints on the Minifigs.
 - I like that the limb-swapping feature of the sets is actually canon to the show.
 - Arin retains his S1 appearance while Kai and Cole get their mech suits - Is the mech pilot Arin just for the sets, then?
 - The Mechanic returns! I am glad to see that he survived the Merge and is back to being a villain of the week.
 - I wonder why the ice dragons are attacking; maybe the Mechanic is controlling them somehow?
 - An odd character design detail: Kai and Cole have triangular-shaped shoulder pads on their suits instead of the rounded ones from the sets; considering that the assets for the correct parts exist (they were used for the flashback Core suits in S1), I wonder if this is based on a prelim design or a new part that will debut later in the year. 🤔
 - Somewhat of a stretch, but the description for the video mentions “extra spicy noodles”; considering that Chronosteel is connected to Amber (it was created by the first Master of Amber) and the character most connected to noodles is Skylor, I wonder if this is a hint at her returning? I hope so, since she did not even get a name-drop in S1!

I was looking at the noodles wondering what they were about. Kinda sad they already have the mech suits and weren’t given them in the mechs, would have made a bit more sense with their appearance but I guess random suits showing up is just something that happens now. Very interested in the device on Cole’s back. I thought it was the gong of shattering at first but I guess not. Also excited to see chrono steel return!
