[MOC] DP20 Frigate by Mod_Legion WIP

Hello Brick Friends,

Created this over a couple of nights thanks to my insomnia. First attempt at a Star Wars Capital ship. Its supposed to be a DP20 Frigate, or my rendition at least. Thinking it could use some refinement but looking for feedback and good energy to keep the project going. Interior holds crew of 4-5 and includes small munitions storage space. Just under 600 parts! Was inspired by Skyforge on youtube and their fan made short films. They had a red and green frigate that looked awesome. Wanted to design / add one or two to my Alliance fleet since I saw that a few years ago

Some of my concerns are the front "neck" space needs to be trimmed / toned. Initially had it mirrored to the back bottle neck portion but it just looked weird, might play around with it.

Turbo lasers too big? Most of the models and drawings I've seen are far from consistent with cannon sizes, maybe mess around with it.

Need to add some dimension to the underbelly, currently its prettyyy flat -_- see what I did there, Dad jokes for days LOL yeah gotta work on that too..

 

Hope this might inspire future creations if not at least give a smile to some Star Wars fans, if even in the slightest way

[Veynom]

The DP20 is not so easy to render and particularly, pay attention to get the right proportions. My version is here (Medical version)  and over time, I consider that the rear section is too large.
