strangely Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Weird, they revised the hat part of the Vidiyo mold, it's a different shape, they must have updated the mold. I like the look of the set, but I'm anxious to see some reviews, it looks a little packed in the renders. I'm also curious to see if they included an alternate book cover with the eye open. It is interesting that they included both the old broom mold and the new one, Lego just can't make up it's mind about that piece lol. The minifigures are pretty awesome, the Sandersons look perfect. I don't like Allison's face and hair, I'll definitely be swapping that out. I'll also be swapping Dani's legs with short legs. My only disappointment is that they didn't include Billy (though they did include his tombstone).

JeanGreyForever Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 I find Hocus Pocus heavily overrated but this set does look marvelous and even with its hefty price, I think I'll probably pick it up at some point. The minifigures look wonderful and I love the design of the cottage. It's interesting that the original design had way more minifigures included. I always felt that was overkill so I'm glad they whittled the lineup down to just the core characters, but I'm seeing online that people are upset at the various characters who were excluded. Also can't wait to see the finished Nightmare Before Christmas set even if it'll be a year or so before that is ready to be unveiled.

thekeeperofthereaper Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 yeah i dont understand the increased popularity of hocus pocus yeah bette middler , kathy najimiy and sarah jessica parker were great but thats it and dont me started with hocus pocus 2 just plain plain bad i love the build as whole though if the new disney castle turn out to be pants ill just use all my vip points to get the sanderson house at a very cheap price and also having the sanderson minifigures means 3 more disney villains i also have to admit the front of the box looks so appealing to me too

In other news, the Lego Ideas Disney contest ended submissions so we have another potential set coming from there. I doubt it will take any of the unaccounted for set numbers though.

I literally got my submission in by the skin of my teeth this morning. I did a partner statue build (Walt holding hands with Mickey) with a Disney family taking pictures in front of it. I was really hoping we would have leaks of the castle by now, as I've been worried it might include a partner statue with it. Surely it has to be around the corner?

I like Ernesto most. Still have questions about how they select which characters should be in the sereis.
