Crazy bricks Posted November 24, 2022 Posted November 24, 2022 Hi everyone Here is a recent project of mine, the Mclaren MP4-4 F1 car from 1988. It was driven by Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna, winning 15 of the 16 races this year, and it is one of my favourite F1 cars of all time. Enjoy the photos! Quote
Jurss Posted November 25, 2022 Posted November 25, 2022 Again interesting choice of tires. I think, at the rear those standard wider would have been OK. Nice solution for front suspension, to achieve proper look. Quote
gyenesvi Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 I also like the suspension solution on this one. And it was my favorite era / car of F1 too :) Quote
pow Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Oh i missed the car when it came out on thursday... I like your clean art style. The steering is a 1x4 Technic brick with ball-pins and rockers connected to it? And it's steered by a pin i guess? best wishes Quote
Aleh Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Back to 90x with Model Team! Thanx for sharing this beauty! Quote
Crazy bricks Posted December 2, 2022 Author Posted December 2, 2022 That suspension and steering setup took most of the time! With the tyres, I would haven chosen other ones but these were all I had. I struggle with broke-19-year-old-syndrome, but I am really glad I have this many parts in the first place. The steering is very basic and rather loose - I needed to save as much space as I could but I really wanted to have working steering too. Its not perfect, but I'm happy with it for now. Quote
