Okay. TWO 2023 threads are ow locked. I wonder if one thread will be unlocked again if we get a proper / real info?

I certainly hope not, since they contain no useful information, it would be nice if it started with an actual list or other release information, aside from wishful speculation.

Yeah…….

Although that fake list had me going with the fire bulldozer as I used to be a forest fire fighter, from way back, I enjoy collecting that stuff and always look forward to more forest oriented sets.

We need new road construction machine sets. Would like to see a dump truck/front loader backhoe(with a newly introduced digger arm shovel and smaller molded hydraulic cylander pieces) combo set with 4 workers and some construction barricades.

It's very surprising to me we haven't have construction sets in awhile. They can even redo the now vintage late Town sets with the highway pieces. I'd love a bridge construction set. Let's start using these awesome new road plates in neat ways.

Yeah! It would be awesome to get some new construction based sets. We have a mobile crane and a lame cement mixer for this year, which is a step in the right direction in my opinion. We've also got a maintenance of way vehicle with the train station, which is kinda like construction - or not. One of the things I'm looking for is a construction company building. We'll probably not see one of those. So we'll have to use our imagination. Perhaps I can use that old fish market from this year's fire brigade set

Diving Yacht (209) led to Ocean Eploration subtheme (2020)

Safari Vehicle (2020) led to Wildlife Rescue (2021)

Tractor (2021) leads to Farm (2022)

Stuntz Team (2020) leads to Stuntz (2021 - 2022)

I don’t think Hospital would lead us to Medical subtheme becuase the set is BIG while other sets (I mentioned above) are small.

So - I don’t know which sets will lead us to which subtheme net year. Like we have Beach Post for Coast Guard; Mobile Crane / Cement Mixer for Construction; and Horse Transporter / Picnic in the Park for Forest (???) so I don’t know….

Anyways, I think some road plate recolored in tan for Construction or Coast Guard subthem may do good. But I think road plates being used as bridge sounds great to me!

So you don't think the helicopter from the rescue helicopter transport or the bus from the train station set give us any..... I dunno..... Easter eggs?

Ehhhhh I don’t know. Rescue helopter transporter may say something to us about the next year. But only the bus from the entire train set? It is little kinda hard to tell.

Sometimes the small sets (Diving Yacht, Safari Off-Roader, Tractor, Stunt Crew) offer us a “hint” for next subtheme. Of course, it’s my erosnal speculation.

Just curious, what do helicopter and bus make you think

Finally my wish to see a paramedic subtheme and public transport subtheme.

The paramedics subtheme would focus on the ambulance system. I think it could work because the ambulance is its own civilian service in most countries in Europe (which is where Lego is based) and some places in Asia and North America. The base set could be an ambulance station like you see in the UK.

The public transport subtheme focuses more on the road pieces of the public transit system such as buses, taxis and ride share services. New Lego City company idea: Figlink - the rideshare service in Lego City. You can say add a subway, but given that we just got a new passenger train, I doubt it'll do well.

Ok! Paramedic & public transit subthemes sound very nice to me! I really dont know if big sets do offer some hints for next subthemes. Great Vehicles line will do better for paradmic and public transit vehicles!

I think your guesses are pretty good tho.

I do hope the Horse Transport set will mean City will expand a bit into at least 1 more horse riding set.

Even if the 2022 set basicly has all the similar design of the 2009 set.

Agree, a set with a bridge under construction, using the new road plates, would be great, buy two and have a complete bridge.

LOL! Of all the notifications I get on this forum, I only checked this one. That's kinda sad that I only pick out certain notifications that stand out to me. But anyhoo, yeah I kinda wish they'd release a bendy bus for the great vehicles line already. Sadly they didn't do it this year.

I have the original LEGOLAND Public Works Center 6383 set from 1981. So it's ongoing of 41 years that there hasn't been a construction company set. Obviously in the minority, but LEGO CITY's direction is a mess. New sets being released are either driven by their animated shows or are just sets that don't sell well(because the idea is just silly and a attempted money grab). LEGO CITY needs to stop pumping out Police, Firefighters, Police chases, etc. sets every year.  Come out with some good Police and Fire station sets letting those sit well with LEGO Fans. Let us get back to roots like Construction, Farming, Parks/Camping, etc. Most of all, stop cutting corners with so many sets. They are giving us less and making the cost more!

Agreed.  I feel like Horse Transportor may lead us to Forest subtheme becuase you can see Freinds has Forest subtheme and there is a horse-riding set in it.  I think it’s nice to have some orest scenery, in my opinion.

I can't argue there. Though I did acknowledge that Lego now has an excuse as the television show is basically the Chicago series for kids. But I would like to see a year where they focus on non-emergency related lines of work that still appeals to kids.

BTW! Didn't they say that the 60335 Train Station would be a Lego store exclusive?

Its not an exclusive here in Australia although it is a limited release in terms of which retailers stock it.

Target has it as well, here in the US.

Oh ok! Yeah because I saw it at Target. I only got my train station at the Lego store because I thought it was an exclusive. But if I didn't go there, I wouldn't have found out that I had a  voucher as I had VIP points dating all the way back to 2019. 2019 was when that crappy new VIP point system came into effect. Seems as though Lego heard my complaints about that as they brought the old system back. Once again, I can redeem my points right at the cash register. Because of that......

.......I got my train station (along with the bathtub stunt bike) on the house.

You know we have corn field from Farmer’s Market Van set.

it makes sense - i wonder if we would get corn parts recolore din….light brown?! It would represent Halloween & harvest season.

Of course City may not get any seasonal sets other than its own Advent Calendar. I just think light brown corn parts would be cool for seasonal sets.

Anyone know when new forms of lego animals 2022 will be available in pick a brick?

Well you may not like it if i tell you. PAB is quite a nightmare - we have to wait for about 3 months (it’s what I was told when I had a phone call with CS rep) but actually they have no idea when new parts (from Jan to Aug 2022) would be available for purchase. :/

I was very frustrating with the new PAB system and waiting kills me. I started to buy new farm animals off eBay.

P.S. in the future you should post any comments in “Lego Licensed Parts” forum, not here. Here is the link:
