Not in the Clone Wars, but it does exist. To be honest, it would be a very nostalgic set with Aurra Sing.

He did briefly in the old 2003 CW microseries, although the only memorable thing about it was its destruction and subsequent scene of Windu commandeering a Vulture droid.
You can see it departing at the 1:00min mark and later at 3:27  -

We are indeed not. Even the set for Skeleton Crew hasn't sold well, I doubt they'll go back afterwards and develop a set for the Acolyte when it can't even ride off the release of the show.

Lego doesn't seem to have a starfighter two-pack this year- I liked them. I recently put A-wing and B-wing and TIE advanced vs Y-wing in the list, but to make some more:

Z-95 headhunter vs Vulture Droids: Headhunter (~500 pcs) and two (~200 piece each) vulture droids. Comes with Plo Koon, Commander Wolffe, two droidikas, and two Wolfpack Troopers.

Black One vs First Order TIE Fighter: Poe Dameron, BB-8, Rey (TFA, lightsaber), Finn, Kylo Ren, and a First Order TIE pilot.

The Phantom vs TIE Advanced X1: (Phantom One) with Hera Syndulla, C1-1OP, Ezra Bridger, the Grand Inquisitor, and Agent Kallus

Okay, so my definitely biased, character-only whichlist, excluding versions/variants of already existing ones, based on what i would consider the core Skywalker Saga to be in terms of movies is as follows: 

 

The Phantom Menace

Boss Nass. I can not believe we are still missing him. Like he is not exactly an obscure character to begin with. Last years 25th anniversary was a big opportunity to put him in the Visual Dictionary. But nope... can not have it. Was probably not popular enough to even bother cranking up the budget. At least compared to the Darth Maul replica we got instead. Which did not even match the rest of the minifigure lineup. 

Shmi Skywalker. Same as above. Truly mindboggling we never recieved this minifigure, too. Could have been a good inclusion with the Mos Espa Podrace Diorama. But just because it is of micro-scale format,  Lego thinks it would be a good idea to not include any figures at all. It's not like there could be a separate stand or plate for it or anything. 

 

Attack of the Clones

Dexter Jettster. Most logical inclusion would be in his very own dinner, duh. Which would work well within the Diorama Collection. There are some magnificent MOCs out there. I do not know if you could just recolor Pong Krell's old mold for the torso, though. 

 

Revenge of the Sith 

Tion Medon. Just put him in the blue Jedi Interceptor (alongside Obi-Wan and R4-P9) as equivalent to Taun We from the Delta-7 Starfighter. I wish there would be more consistency when it comes to that third figure's inclusion. Especially considering these crazy price hikes we had the last couple of years. 

 

A New Hope

Hem Dazon. I was slightly bummed he was skipped over in the absolutely amazing Mos Eisley Cantina MBS. He is like the very first good shot we ever had about an alien in the Star Wars universe... incredibly iconic. You could slowly but surely fill in the blanks by releasing new Cantina playsets. 

 

The Empire Strikes Back

Admiral Ozzel. He could show up in some sort of future set. Many imperial higher-ups are still missing. The most recent addition of Commander Praji in the Star Destroyer is a somewhat good sign for things to come. Ozzel may have a choking or concerned impression for his second face, akin to Captain Antilles from the Boarding the Tantive IV set. 

 

Return of the Jedi

Sy Snootles. Would come in a new Jabba's Palace (this time with a roof again, pretty please) and of course require a new body mold. Would work with regular legs, too. Obviously, lots of other characters would be possible from that place. 

 

Those never before done characters are just supposed to be a mere sample off of the very top of my head. You could most certainly still write your testament about all these missing minifigures.

Ok. So celebration is over. And we have a bunch of news for both 2025, 2026 and maybe 2027 (depending on how quickly they wrap Ahsoka S2) projects. So I’m going to go over what I’d find ideal yet probable for next year’s line-up.

Andor Season 2 (Jan 2026 wave I pray)

Imperial Army Battlepack (£19.99): 2 Army Troopers, Army Trooper NCO (White stripe) and a stormtrooper. Build is the riot control speeder from S1 finale.

Tie Avenger (£59.99): Cassian Andor (test pilot disguise), Stormtrooper, Range Trooper and either Director Krennic or Major Lio Partagaz.

Please note: As much as I want an Occupier, ITT, Partisan X-Wing and the new imperial shuttle variant, I unfortunately don’t see those happening if Lego keeps insisting on gimmick sets.

Zero Company (least likely of the bunch, but Lego seems to insist on TCW so you never know)

The Caisson (£109.99): Hawks, Trick, Luco, Tel, Cly and Astromech. 

AAT (£39.99): Trick, Cly, B1 Commander and 2 B2s. (Those 2 squad members specifically as their the most marketable)

 

The Mandalorian and Grogu

Razor Crest 2.0 (£139.99): Mando, Grogu, Zeb, Sigourney Weaver’s character (jacket), Carson Teva, 1 un-named character.

PLEASE. Would be an incredible set. But since this is an awesome game ship with a great cast of characters, we know it won't happen. Still waiting on my Stinger Mantis.

 

Son of Dathomir will probably be very loosely adapted into this (since Filoni's fatal flaw is overwriting book/comic canon) so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of stuff from that ended up being in the show. Maul's gauntlet fighter is probable for the show (and possible for a set), but he builds a whole army with plenty of vehicles in that comic.

Wait. The Tie Avenger has shuttle capabilities? I did not know that. I was under the impression that it was just a chunkier Tie Defender. But then again, I haven’t watched the first 3 Andor S2 episodes yet. You have.

Now I want one even more for my ISB agent and Death Troopers to deploy from as the Tie Reaper may never happen.

The reason why my version was £60 with 4 minifigs was due to that being the standard going rate for smaller ships/ larger starfighters.

I’m still waiting for a BF2 Corvus/ Raider Corvette as well. (A 18+ midi in scale with the 2021 light cruiser would be so good)

As an adult fan of Lego Star Wars, I have a disposable income which I can buy LEGO sets. Currently, there are a wide variety of sets available, 11 to be precise.* Undoubtedly, this is an age of Lego Star Wars VARIETY - at no point in the history of Lego Star Wars have we had this much choice and diversity!  

Ironically, despite this variety, I think there is a gap in the market, one that LEGO has yet to exploit.

Paradoxically, this gap in the market has been exacerbated by this very diversity. Currently, we have different styles of sets that cater towards specific traits and audiences. For example, helmets, mid-scale ships, buildable characters/droids, and Brickheadz, are all collectible and displayable, with each except Brickheadz predominately advertised as 18+. They are designed to be displayed, not played with and do not include many minifigures, if at all. I argue that what characterises the “golden age” of Lego Star Wars (the consensus being from around 2008 to 2014, then slowly decreasing as the Sequels rapidly decreased in popularity), is the incredible consistency of well balanced, well rounded sets. I define a well balanced set as a set with the following: Good prices, new moulds, excellent and accurate builds, innovative play features yet great display pieces, and spectacular figures.

Simply, this diversity was within each and every box - the set represented all the different types of audiences and traits of a good LEGO Star Wars set. 

At the same time, as UCS sets get more detailed, include greater functionality, and are larger and more expensive, for example the Venator and the Sail Barge, LEGO have controversially, yet steadily pursued smaller, less playable system scale sets such as the MTT (2015), Republic Gunship, and the most recent U-Wing, to name but a few. 

This widening of the gap between the two types of sets which are inherently meant to be the most balanced, has led to a big hole for adult fans like me who do not have the budget to spend £400+ on a UCS set, yet feel underwhelmed by smaller, less fun sets. Granted, if LEGO were producing superb minifigures and controlling their prices, it would have softened the blow of such downscaling. But they aren’t. 

Or, these fans have to buy multiple different type of sets just to experience the main traits of what LEGO Star Wars is all about. If I buy a helmet, a buildable droid, and a system scale set, I still feel something is missing…

And I do not want to lose the diversity we are currently blessed with, because I think it has led to amazing sub-themes, namely the helmets and the buildable droids. It has also democratised Lego Star Wars for fans of Lego and Star Wars. I also don’t think the answer to this problem is solved by up-scaling sets - granted eventually they’ll have to do this to keep it refreshing. 

Rather I believe a new sub-theme must be introduced, one that produces more affordable, yet quality sets that compromise on far less. A sub-theme that takes serious all of the important traits needed for an adult fan of LEGO. This theme will return to the colourful box-arts, will be priced between £180-£230, have several new minifigures, and take inspiration from their UCS counterparts (if a UCS set exists). This sub-theme will provide opportunities for sets never released before because they are either too big to be downscaled and too small to be translated into a UCS/MBS set. This sub-theme will not compromise, except on ensuring the sets are affordable, yet high quality. 

The elephant in the room is that the introduction of this new sub-theme would take sales off of UCS sets. After all, UCS sets are the crown jewel of LEGO Star Wars. But, I do not think this would be the case because UCS sets are the crème de la crème, the best designed sets that would simply be unmatched at a £180-£230 price point. Moreover, this new sub-theme would enhance these sets, including minifigures that would go with the UCS counterparts. This sub-theme will learn from the UCS set, whilst concurrently strengthening the UCS sets appeal. These sets could be displayed alongside a larger version, in a similar vein to how microfighters are sometimes sat next to their UCS counterparts - the RazorCrest is a good example. 

I want you to imagine a Sail Barge with a Skiff that learns from the amazing techniques of the UCS set, includes some of the same figures yet includes new figures, and costs atleast a half less. Think of a more affordable, more easily displayable and function-able Venator. Think of an improved Yavin Temple. Think of the possibility of seeing a Jedi Temple and a Petranaki Arena. All these sets will be downscaled relative to their UCS versions, but feel complete, worthy of being displayed. 

So, when the next time I want to spend my disposable income,  I feel I have the option to buy a well balanced set at once, One that hits all the key traits of what we can all agree a LEGO Star Wars set should be. 

To conclude, this new sub-theme would sit in between the more expensive, downscaled system sets and the most expensive sets on shelves, the UCS sets. This theme would provide a well-rounded alternative and fans and LEGO would reap the benefits, all whilst keeping afloat its currently diverse Lego Star Wars roster. This theme would solve the problem I know many LEGO fans are facing: as prices increases, quality decreases and when prices continually increase as a reward for quality we become priced out. 

I fully intend on doing a large post with my ideas in the coming days. In the meantime, I’d love to hear thoughts on the above including if you disagree!!
