Legobuilder1 Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 I have been working on a japanese moc building for my city but i cant figure out the roof technique, i have found someone who has made one that is perfect for my building but i dont really understand how he had made this? is anyone able to shed some light on how i would go about making a roof like this? Specificly the area with the red cicle thank you in advance Quote
MAB Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 You can do that sort of thing either by using hinges with locking teeth underneath plates or what appears here is to angle parts come out of the wall and build off those. There are some new Japanese style roof corners coming soon that leaked recently. Quote
Slegengr Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 (edited) Here is one method using locking teeth hinge plates as @MAB mentioned, mocked up in Studio. If I can find how to share the file (.io), I will. The same is used on the other sides, but the plates are extended above the corners to the top peak. You will have to play around with attachment hinge styles and locations (I used hinge bricks shown in blue, but these do not work perfectly if I try to add the other sides of the roof) until you get the corner to fit together between the different sides.
