EV3 Motor speed - is 100% the maximum ?

At present I have the motor speed set to 100% for my GBC Tranfer Crane.

The traverse mode is too slow at 30 secs each way.

Is it possible to increase the large motor speed by raising the speed to say 150 %.

If not I will have to incorporate some step up gearing to reduce transfer time.

If medium motors have enough torque, you could use them instead. They are about 150% faster.

Thanks for your answer.

I don’t have any spare Medium Motors.

Final drive for the traversing carriage is by 24T gear & 2L worm gear.(which slides freely on the 32L axle.

It can be speeded slightly by using a 20T double bevel gear with the new short worm gear BUT this worm gear does not slide freely on the 32L axle.
Speed would only increase by 1.2.

Catch 22 applies.

Looks like I will have to add a step up gear into the traverse drive line probably using 20/12 step up gears & 2 x 16T gears to keep input and output in line with 32L drive axle.

Have added a step gears to give an increase of 1:3 for traversing using 24:8 step plus 2 x 16T gears to keep output in ,line with the Large EV3 motor.

Re-programmed EV3 to get desired travel. Tested and cycle time much better and should meet 30  ball per minute.

Just need to improve input chute to load 30 balls per trip.

That looks really good!

Thanks, managed to fit it in place without any changes to the main structure and still able to use max length of the 32L axle that drives the traversing.
Took a while to get the traverse programming correct.
