Greenstar Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Does anyone ever combine their LEGO bricks with scale electric trains? I’ve found them to be compatible for track structures for 1/87th scale systems as well as structures such as elevated rail stations and bridges I’ve also used Legos as the base for a moc up of a section of track in Columbus, Ohio where a derailment occurred back In 2012 for something I was doing Quote
JopieK Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Märklin even has a LEGO-compatible H0 base train car: https://www.maerklin.de/en/products/details/article/44734/ See also other including: https://legomodeltrain.tumblr.com/post/168859090947/lego-h0-scale-model-train-featuring-the-märklin LEGO used to even promote this idea decades ago and those cars are actually LEGO cars in H0 scale. That would be awesome for scratch building custom rolling stock such as armored cars in HO scale also it’s a shame LEGO stopped promoting the idea because it might have helped them make some more money from modelers like me who use both systems on a regular basis Quote
Thai bricks Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 (edited) There is also a version in G gauge by LGB (owned by Maerklin now): Starter set They also sell the wagon base only. Purists beware! Spoiler I have read that the few bricks included are not Lego. Edited April 22, 2020 by Thai bricks Link messed up formatting. Quote
