PR0JECTNR56 Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 (edited) An old project of mine, originally started off as a concept, but I think it reached a point where it is worth to share it with you guys. This MOC will come with the following vehicles: Mercedes O 317 Renntransporter (Final version - might be a few minor mods) Porsche 917LH 1971 #21 (Final version) Porsche 917K 1971 #22 (WIP) Porsche 917-20 "Pink Pig" 1971 #23 (Final version) The 1971 World Sportcar Championship was a great year in the long history of endurance racing, mostly dominated by the Porsche prototypes. In this specific year the Martini International Racing Team decided to go with 3 completely different Porsche to win the almighty Le Mans. The #21 entry was silver-gray, Martini stripes covered 917LH 1971 (Langheck - long tail) version, offering a huge top speed in the Mulsanne Straight (386km/h or 246mph), with it's sleek bodywork and powerful engine. #22 was the pale white car 917K (Kurz - short tail), once again with the iconic Martini stripes, but with a significant change under the light body panels - it's chassis was made by magnesium. Last but not least #23 was a one-off prototype in the field, with it's iconic bright pink livery, and strange looking shape designed by the french company SERA, who tried to merge the best attributes of the 917K and LH versions in a single car. As for the transportation, their choice was the Renntransporter based on Mercedes O 317 chassis (in this year they used 2 Renntransporter, I built the red version). The MOC comes with a few obvious limitations, please check the renders below: Thanks for watching. Edited February 25, 2020 by PR0JECTNR56 Quote
