jamtf Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 I just checked the inventory of the new Indiana Jones set 7627 Temple of the Crystal Skull and it appears that besides the (weird looking) new type skeleton with the long straight arms, euro armor and the Spanish conquisador or morion helmet, there are some new native people included called Ugha warriors. These could be used as an alternative tribe for islanders if you ask me. They come in dark orange and they have tattoos on their bodies and heads. Check these links to get an idea: Ugha Warrior with Hair Ugha Warrior without Hair Quote
trooperdavinfelth Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Indeed; those are good natives! Although I'm slightly peeved that they are the same body and head. I was hoping for some diversity... Quote
SirNadroj Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Yeah, I guess so, but IMO, they look like tall Oompa-Loompas in loin cloths. Quote
QuartermasterRobert Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Those are SWEETSAUCE. Want moar. Quote
Scouty Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Yeah, I guess so, but IMO, they look like tall Oompa-Loompas in loin cloths. Oompa-Loompas had teeth necklaces? Quote
SirNadroj Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Oompa-Loompas had teeth necklaces? I meant because they are orangy coloured. Quote
Scouty Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I meant because they are orangy coloured. Obviously, but with teeth necklaces?? Quote
Capn Frank Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 They look nice. As said already, it'd be nice if there was a little variety, but one good thing i can say is that they look more like cannibals than the islanders. :pir-skull: P Quote
El Bucanero Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I put the pictures in your post. Yes, these minifigs look highly usable for a native tribe. They look alot more aggressive than the Islanders. (teeth neklace!) As for the face issue, one can always customize! Quote
Matn Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 I think I will get this set with the figs and brasso the tattoo on their head away. It'll be the first time I use brasso. But they can/will be used in so much ways! :p Quote
Wout Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Nice good pictures of these new figs. They look good. Pity they are only in the big set. (An army buiderset would be nice ) Quote
AmperZand Posted April 17, 2008 Posted April 17, 2008 Shame their hands are brown like their loin-cloths, not dark orange like the rest of their bodies. Do the Ughas wear brown gloves in the movie or is TLC trying to reduce the cost by not making hands of the right colour? Either way, it's a pity. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted April 19, 2008 Governor Posted April 19, 2008 These fellows appear as though they'd make a good "new" indigenous tribe for the Pirate's universe. We'll have to procure some of these mini-figures and get building... Quote
