Hey now, that's actually not to bad, I just can't bring myself to buy that set, it's just so crappy and overpriced. Might have to change my mind now.

That's a better use for the pieces for sure . Got the set sometime ago but the speeder is waaaay too big, so I dismantled the speeder to use the pieces on something else.

That might help to sell that set a bit better haha! Seriously well done, (beware, deep philosophical thoughts are about to come...) such creativity truly captures the essence of what LEGO is all about! :D

wow. I just clicked this because you are one of the few "alternative builders" of which I have seen some respectable creations before. I've looked for a reason to purchase the set so bad, since I want a decent Samuel L. Jackson head - you just gave me one

It's not overly perfect, but at the size it doesn't need to be. And both colours and some features give it enough innovation to be it's own futuristic Enterprise. Looks stable enough as well - and being able to move the warp engines is cool too

Heh, this is cute. I also just bought the set for the minifigs at a discount price, and rebuilt the crappy speeder to an alternate tank which looked half-passable, but I'm not happy with it taking up precious shelf-space. Might have a go at this.
