Cjd223 Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 (edited) After some tweaks and revisions to the model, Cavegod's First Order Special Forces Tie Fighter is ready to be released to the public! The MOC itself contains 1,691 parts, and its manual is 91 pages long. The MOC is built to match the scale of the UCS Tie Fighter released by The Lego Group in 2015. One of the big changes is that the wing color has been switched from white to Light Bluish Gray to better represent the true color of the wings. In some of the photos attached to this post you will see white wings, those photos are from the original model. It should be noted that this MOC can easily be converted into a standard First Order Tie Fighter by switching the red pieces to black. Lots of interest has been generated for this MOC, and Cavegod and I are really glad to make its release to the community! If you would like to build this MOC, we are happy to share it with you in exchange for $20. Included is the pdf instruction manual, an xml part list, LDD files, and any help you need throughout the process of making the MOC. For more information please PM me or contact me at chrdvorak@hotmail.com A rebrickable page with a parts list will be live soon, and will be posted here: {filler} Here are some pictures of the MOC and of the pdf manual: Edited August 28, 2018 by Cjd223 Quote
Cylo Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Wow this looks really cool! Is it similar to the UCS TIE fighter in its design? Quote
Ellisss_2 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Looks great in the Special Forces colours! However, I would’ve loved to see a different wing design which doesn’t show the back of plates! Quote
Johnny1360 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Looks great, very large as well, really like the way the cockpit part turned out. Is it just me or do those wings bow a bit do to deflection? Quote

Maybe you could try using the outside of the wing also on the inside but try to clip them together somehow and then attach to cockpit? Edited August 30, 2018 by JarJarBonks Quote
Cjd223 Posted September 10, 2018 Author Posted September 10, 2018 My apologies for the delay, ran into a few speed bumps with the parts list. It is now live on rebrickable here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/forces-tie-fighter/#infoMOC-17181/cjd_223/first-order-special- Quote
Cjd223 Posted November 8, 2019 Author Posted November 8, 2019 Bump! I finally got around to rebuilding this model from the instructions and made a time-lapse for the model. Review coming soon! Quote
Cjd223 Posted December 30, 2019 Author Posted December 30, 2019 Review for this model was completed a few weeks ago. It shows a lot more details about the MOC and highlights some of my favorite parts as well as some areas I think there could have been changes: Quote
