Matn Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 (edited) This is an awesome MOC I just found on Brickshelf. It is build by PepaQuin. It's fantastic! The staff and crew of the Planet Express Delivery Company, their ship, and their headquarters. Figures were made using waterslide decals printed with my own designs based off the cartoon show, Futurama. Edit: some comparission pictures: http://theinfosphere.org/images/6/64/Plane..._Exterior_1.jpg http://theinfosphere.org/images/0/0c/Plane..._Exterior_2.jpg http://theinfosphere.org/images/f/f9/Planet_Express_Rear.jpg Edited March 25, 2008 by Matn Quote
goggleson Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Amazing! I like the non smooth pod/roof thing Quote
iamded Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 (edited) Now that is cool! I love it! The building is fantastic, as is the ship. And the minifigs are great, especially Zoidberg and Prof. Farnsworth. :-D Great find! *y* *y* ~Peace Edited March 28, 2008 by iamded Quote
LuxorV Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Very neat and detailed *wub* ! It has exactly that cartoonish style we're used to see in SpongeBob's sets. Thanks for sharing this find, Matn *y* LuxorV Quote
Brickmaster Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 (edited) Oh mah gawsh :'-) I'm in lego love. One of my absolute favourite shows lego-ized. I would love to see a full scale delivery ship, but it's hard to color match, sand green is the best color I guess, and that's not always easy to find in great quantities. Great find *sweet* They were even nice enough to include a suicide booth, heh. Edited March 25, 2008 by Brickmaster Quote
hollisbrick Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 Woah This Moc is almost better than the show! This is great! 100 kudos to the person who made it *y* It would be so cool if TLC made a Simpsons/futerama line *wub* Quote
WetWired Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 cool, the big eyes kinda creep me out a bit though :'-( Quote
Opproperaar Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 As good as the series if you ask me! *y* Zoidberg's minifig head cracks me up! :-P My only comment, or rather question would be the scale comparison between ship, building and minifigs. The ship seems awefully small. Is he sure he got the scale right or did he do it deliberately? Quote
casewindu Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 (edited) this is the best moc i've seen in ages! very well done I love everything about this, the floating sign, the suicide booth, the ship, it's all great! My favorite figures have to be zoiderg and amy, the exo-force hair really works well! Infact all of the decals are superb! great find! ;-) Edited March 25, 2008 by casewindu Quote
CopMike Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 I just *wub* it!! Great stuff - the building, ship and minifigs *y*! It really has that Futurama feeling to it, and that´s one megablocking great series in my opinion!! I only have two problems with this: I have had this idea for about a year and started getting some pieces together and now it´s already done 8-| It´s way better than I would have done it :'-( Back to the drawing board for a new idea On copmike Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 This is a classic. EB should have a thumbnail links page for bookmarking classic internet finds IMO. Quote
Tarfful Posted March 25, 2008 Posted March 25, 2008 (edited) Futurama is my favorite "grown-up" TV show, with Avatar being my favorite "kid" TV show, X-D and this MOC is just brilliant. All the details, the minifigs, *sighs at the *wub* -lyness* the suicide booth, it's almost like looking through a window at Heaven. Whoever made this has some major skills. >:-) As good as the series if you ask me! *y* Zoidberg's minifig head cracks me up! :-P My only comment, or rather question would be the scale comparison between ship, building and minifigs. The ship seems awefully small. Is he sure he got the scale right or did he do it deliberately? I think he made the ship in a smaller scale to make it seem farther away... or maybe he just ran out of Sand Green. X-D Hope that helps... General Tarful Edited March 25, 2008 by GeneralTarful Quote
Matn Posted March 25, 2008 Author Posted March 25, 2008 (edited) @Copmike: why wouldn't you build it? I want to see your version of it! (I'm also making Harry Potter figs, and yesterday I found a Flickr folder with the figures like I would make them. That doesn't mean I'll stop my project! *sad* ) I thought you guys would love this! This serie is owns The Simpsons (I like that show to, but Futurama is way better). This building would fit in every town, I think! It is such a lovely building and it is so accurate. It's no big deal that it isn't in full scale, it is just fantastic! The figures (especially Zoidberg and those two characters with red uniform whose name I've forgotten (shame on me)) are really awesome. Maybe I'll make the ship in real minifig size. First finish other, more simple, projects. Edited March 25, 2008 by Matn Quote

I agree that just because someone did a MOC you want to do doesn't mean you should not make one too, just try and make it better then theirs. >:-) Futurama owns The Simpsons, end of story, especially with them now making new episodes again. :'-) The character who you forgot is Zapp Brannigan. ;-) I say go for it, I would except I don't have the pieces. :-( Quote
WetWired Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 yeah go nuts make your own version, it didn't stop me from making yet another batmobile Quote
jedikermit Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Loooooove it. Loving Futurama's a big part of it, but man they did a great job. Quote

Ronan Nissen Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Just one question.....where's Dr. Zoidburg!? He's there eating out of the garbage! Quote
lego.ryan Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen made in Lego. I love it! *wub* The minifigs, the great color scheme... all of it is just so perfect. And it's accurate, too! This is an absolutely amazing MOC. *y* *y* -Ryan Quote
