kitfistoguy Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I really want to start collecting minifigures but I don't know which minifigures to get if anyone could give me advice and suggestions that would be awesome Quote
Exetrius Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Well, I think you should be a little more specific! There are literally thousands of different figures, for about a hundred different genres and from a few different decades, but I think I can provide a little foothold: - http://brickset.com/minifigs - http://minifigpriceguide.com/wordpress/ - http://www.minifigure.org/ - Star Wars, Castle (the genre), Collectable Minifigures Series and Ninjago are (among many others) themes with a lot of interesting minifigs, in my opinion. Have fun Quote
HawkLord Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Number one answer - collect what you like. Personally, I collect Star Wars, Marvel, Dimensions, CMF, and more that I can't remember. Quote
Littleworlds Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 From top of my head and with total subjectivity I say that the Forest Maiden and the Viking Woman are my favourites. More may follow! Quote
GregoryBrick Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 If you don't know any mini figures you want what makes you want to collect them? Quote
TheWarden Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 These obviously... http://brickset.com/minifigs/year-1975 ... trolling aside, one should make the list for the historical significance. Quote
BrickJagger Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Aldar Beedo from the pod racing bucket. Nice one I'd go with the S3 Elf. Quote
Actor Builder Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 All the CMF's from Series 1 to Series 17 Three of each is a necessity. If you don't get three of every Collectible Minifigure, you're way behind. Quote
K_Tiger Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Number one answer - collect what you like. Personally, I collect Star Wars, Marvel, Dimensions, CMF, and more that I can't remember. The long and short of it. ^^^^ In the main I collect, but am not a completionist (made-up word?) of, the CMF series. I have figures from all manner of themes in my display case, though. Buy what you like and can afford. Quote
Tariq j Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 As I'm sure you'll hear a lot more of in this thread, I'd collect Galidor rather than minifigures. On a serious note though, as has been said above, collect what you want. CMF's are particularly good because they include a variety of different characters, and so all types of Lego fans (irrespective of what themes they like) can relate to them in some way. Quote
