But first, I'd like to thank you for your comments and feedback, as they help me to improve. I also take note of the suggestions some of you have made. NOTE. GentlemanJoker Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Absolutely amazing, once again! I'd kill for that Grim Reaper Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 I'm gonna get dibs on Dwarf King (Motivation to post my own series with this guy waning), Porridge Eater, Galactic Explorer, Grim Reaper, Lawyer, Parrot Guy, Baker, and Toy Army Guy's bios, which will be written tomorrow, as it's pretty late on my end. Excellent work, Rob! Quote
Yooha Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Still wonderful! The baker is long overdue! And "The LAW" Quote
8BrickMario Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 I rescind what I said way back in the Series 14 discussion: There clearly is a way to design an interesting Grim Reaper CMF. I think he looks creepier and more morally ambiguous with the white eyes- plus, it makes him entirely monochrome, which is something I really like. Quote
Hive Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Great work once again, Robert. The Dwarf King and Grim Reaper are my favorites this time around. I'd really love for LEGO to do something like that. Quote
Nerd-with-a-Pencil Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Here we go: Dwarf King "For this great victory, we shall FEAST! And in celebration of a magnificent feast, we shall FEAST! And to prove the dwarven superiority of the post-feast nap, we shall FEAST..." As the king of the ancient, subterranean kingdom of the dwarves, the Dwarf King has a lot to do. Run the mines, make the axes, fight the goblins, brag to the elves about how great dwarves are... and of course, plan feasts, because if there is a single thing the Dwarf King loves more than axes, gold, or gold axes, it's feasts. Feasts keep up morale, fuel the troops for the inevitable next battle, and they are darn good. It is a very good thing the Dwarf King has a great many vassals and majordomos to remind him of his royal duties, or else he would never leave his mile-long banquet table! Porridge Eater "Too hot, too cold, too thin, too lumpy, too sweet, too bland!" The Porridge Eater fancies herself a gourmand of oatmeal, perennially searching for that legendary "just right" bowl. Everyone else, however, fancies her as insufferably picky. It got to the point where a family of bears, who found the Porridge Eater endlessly sampling their storage of porridge, threw her out of their house just to stop the endless nitpicking. Too bad for her, 'cause she was this close to finding her perfect serving... Galactic Explorer "Oh, Axle, your eyes shine like the light of a million stars." If love is in the air, then surely there's even more love in space! At least, that's what the Galactic Explorer thinks. A hopeless romantic, she joined the LEGO Space program in the hopes of finding true love amongst the stars. No matter how many times she foolishly embarrasses herself, or throws herself in harm's way for some hunk to save her, she's still a firm believer in her philosophy. After all, countless sci-fi B-movies can't be wrong about this, can they? Grim Reaper "Sᴏ. Iᴛ ɪs ᴛɪᴍᴇ ғᴏʀ ᴜs ᴛᴏ ᴡᴀʟᴋ ᴛᴏɢᴇᴛʜᴇʀ ᴀᴛ ʟᴀsᴛ. Dᴏ ɴᴏᴛ ʙᴇ ᴀғʀᴀɪᴅ. Fᴏʟʟᴏᴡ ᴍᴇ, ᴡᴇ sʜᴀʟʟ ᴡᴀʟᴋ ᴀɴᴅ ᴛᴀʟᴋ." Many people think the Grim Reaper as a soulless being who comes to reap the lives of sinners. This is not the case. In fact, the Grim Reaper is rather nice; a bit dead inside, sure, but he never has any malice towards anyone. When a poor minifigure dies, it is the Grim Reaper who comes to escort their soul to the next life, and help them adjust to their new situation. He does get a bit sad from time to time as the deceased plead for the comfort of their loved ones, but such is the "life" of a Grim Reaper. Lawyer "Your honor, I must object. The defendant claims she did not steal these two bricks, but two is only six away from eight, and a fire truck has eight wheels, and a fire truck is red, and a red face is a sign of dishonesty, so the defendant is OBVIOUSLY lying! Obviously." In the field of LEGO law and order, no one is more adroit, or successful, than the humble Lawyer. No matter what, she has a nearly-flawless record. Which is odd, because by all accounts the Lawyer is completely and totally insane. All her "defenses" are barely legitimate non sequiturs, and any "lawsuit" is an overblown demand for compensation for a petty (or even nonexistent) grievance. Not a soul knows how the Lawyer keeps her excellent track record, though her opponents often suspect pity on the part of the judge... Parrot Guy "Avast, little mateys! It be yer best friend, the Parrot Guy! This is what me life has become..." Let's face it, piracy is a dying career. What's a mate to do when all his career opportunities are being squelched by the Coast Guard, the Emperor, or some other authority? For the Parrot Guy, the answer was simple: go into the rich and fulfilling field of children's party entertainment. The first time the Parrot Guy tried a party, he realized that this was a very big mistake indeed. The screaming, the messes, the chaos, the pain...it was worse than mutiny! If only he hadn't sunk his life savings into obtaining the best parrot costume booty can buy; now he's stuck 'till he can earn back his gold. Baker "Ooh, that's gonna be a good one!" For the Baker, simply smelling the fragrance of his work is job satisfaction for him. You can keep the happy faces, the excellent profit, the delicious flavors; all the Baker needs to get up at an unholy hour tomorrow is that sweet, oaky bread smell. And not just bread, either; from danishes to cookies to pies, a veritable cornucopia of aromas await the Baker as soon as those ovens open. Toy Army Man "................................................." The Toy Army Man is just that: a toy. Of course, that doesn't stop him from creating great military strategies whenever his owner pulls him, and his identical brothers-in-arms, out for a playdate. Or wistfully imagining the real battles he could orchestrate if he were a real soldier. If only he could move, he could send a letter to a "Robotics Engineer" he overheard about; maybe he could make the Toy Army Man a real, battle-ready body. Until then, the Toy Army Man is ready and willing to serve his owner wherever they decide he shall fight. Quote
Sven F Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) Really great ideas and drawings. I think what is taken for granted here is that you are able to make up great characters from different themes, regardless which theme is your personal preference. You don't show any biases and all your ideas are feasable for TLG to theoretically produce which is a great accomplishment in itself. Edited October 23, 2016 by Sven F Quote
Robert8 Posted October 23, 2016 Author Posted October 23, 2016 Thank you for your comments. @Nerd-with-a-Pencil thank you for those amazing bios The Dwarf King's and the Porridge Eater's are perfect The Parrot Guy's is exactly what I had in mind when I made him By the way, thank you for the Soup/Porridge thing. I'm a spanish native speaker, and she does eat soup in the spanish version. I completely forgot the original version says porridge until you pointed it out. Quote

The lego fan Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 A baker!!!!!!!!! Yes, finaly!? My other favourites are the 80's girl (great style), the berserker (epic) and the law women ( long overdue).? The only ones I am a bit less positive about are the toddler and the galactic explorer? Both suit guys are pretty awesome- an ice cream mould would be outstanding and I love the way that the parrot has a classic pirate facial expression( I ❤️Lego pirates ). Quote
Eggyslav Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 (edited) Hey, Nerd-with-a-Pencil, Great bios! I guess It's my turn now, so let's go: 80's Girl: Smartphone? I dunno what that might be, but it souds totally radical! As Disco Dude lives the in Past, so does the 80's Girl, except, that she lives in a decade later Past than him. As such, she loves everything from 1980 to 1989, the Electronic music, the huge hairstyles, the crazy neon colored clothes, and don't get me started on Lego sets released in this golden age. She even communicates in the tubular slang of the era! But still, she is also very enthusiastic about our Present Days, and like to see what comes next, for example, she was the witness of the birth of the Video Gaming, and she loves 8-bit classics, but is also awed by the nowadays next-gen consoles and motion rigs. Masked Hero: HA! You are defeated villain! Now I would mark you with my initial, but my sword has a blunt tip... By day he's posing as a dandy aristocrat, but by night, he dons his black cape and mask, and rides off on his loyal steed to fight evil and injustice in the old west, defending the defenseless, and righting wrongs in this world. Masked Hero is a great fencer, and a chivalrous daredevil. As he swings from the ceiling of a building with his whip, he is cheered by those who he helped, by stealing from the rich and giving to the poor with his gallant daring-do. Ladies and peasants adore him, evil governors and snobbish landlords hate him. But Masked hero has a quandary: He'd like to have his own calling card, something to leave, as he gallantly saves damsels and fights off soldiers and goons, he has nothing to mark his sojourn, and leave a message to his enemies. Still, whenever the church bell rings for alarm, Masked Hero will be there, to avenge any poor souls in need. Berserker Excuse me sir, I would appreciate if you allowed me to TEAR YOUR ARMS OFF, AND BEAT YOU WITH THEM DO DEATH!!! Normally, the Berserker is kind and polite member of the Viking society. That is, unless he enters his battle frenzy. When it happens, he becomes a savage maniac, flailing his axes everywhere, yelling and frothing from mouth, untill he calms down to his gentle and timid self. What's worse, it started to happen outside of battles, he can *cough* "go berserk" while doing chores, like hanging loundry, or tending the garden. Berserker really tried everything to apprehend and control his rage, but to no avail. Fortunately, his Village Psychiatrist organizes group therapy for people with such problems, and Berserker attends regularely. Cheerleader Guy Who said Cheerleading is for girls? GO TEAM! Cheerleader Guy, as any other jock started in his college football team, but soon he realised, that touchdowns and tackles are not his thing, so instead he applied to the cheerleaders, and wouldn't you know it, he found out, that this was it! At first he was mocked by his former teammates, but, since they won whole season thanks to him keeping the team's morale, they all now respect him, and his girls. Also, What could be considered an ironic twist, the Cheerlader Guy's sister is a captain of a Football team in her college! Toddler Mo-mmy, Da-ddy, Le-go... It is extremely difficult to write a biography of a minifig, who just began the adventure called life. For a long time, there wasn't even certainity if a minifigure life has a toddler stage, but, since the first baby minifigure emerged, the logical next step would be a toddler minifigure, right? Anyway, we hope that this adorable little scamp someday grow up to be a great minifig. Sandboarder Snow? Who needs snow when you have sand! WOOOO! can you see it? on that huge dune, coming down the slope, followed by a cloud of dust? That guy there is the Sandboarder. Just like his snowboarder friends, he loves the thrills of sliding down a slope, but he doesn't really like cold weather, or snow, or winter altogether. Why would you risk hypothermia, if you can effectively ride your board on sand? That's the Sandboarder's philosophy. And thus, he mastered his sport. The fact that he lives in the middle of a desert helped to hon his skills, he can even do trickjumps! VR Gamer AAAA! Help! I'm being shot at! Oh, wait, that's just a game, phew! For virtual Reality gamer, Immersion is the most important thing in games, screw graphics, story, or gameplay, the VR Gamer wants the ingame world as convincing and real-like, as it is possible. That's why he put a lot of money in his gaming rig, he even bought those crazy goggles and sensors that let you be in the game! But, sometimes the immersion becomes too great. There were times that VR Gamer had a hard time to determine, what's real, and what's just a game... Ice Cream Girl Awww, cheer up, Ice Cream fix all the problems, here, have a cone! The Cheerful Ice Cream Girl is a great conneseur of the sweet ice-cold delicacy, wether it's a sorbet, gellato, or a popsicle, she loves it all, wether served in cups, cones, or bowls, with sprinkles, whipped cream or nuts. No wonder she always wears her costume. She traveled the whole world, discovering a myriad of new flavours, and gathering recipies in hopes of opening her own Ice cream shop. Ice cream girl doesn't like two things though: People who don't like ice cream, and frozen yoghurt. Edited October 24, 2016 by Eggyslav Quote
DarrellBricker Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 Another great series! My favorites are the Grim Reaper (long overdue), Parrot Guy, Porridge Eater, Masked Hero, Male Cheerleader, Beserker and Lawyer. 80's Girl, Toy Soldier, Baker and Dwarven King are also strong! Thank you for sharing. Quote
Bricksanity Posted October 24, 2016 Posted October 24, 2016 I love all of these! If you are interested in having some printed onto lego parts, I'd be happy to work something out for you :) Quote

BrickFit26 Posted October 26, 2016 Posted October 26, 2016 Love the dark red color you chose. Series D looks so fun. My faves are Ice Cream Ice Cream Girl, Dwarf King, Galactic Explorer, Grim Reaper, Berserker, Parrot Guy and 80s girl. Nice prints on the accessories, torsos, nd legs too. Quote
VaderFan2187 Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 (edited) Looks cool! Don't think they will ever make a Grim Reaper, though, as it's not "kid-friendly". I love the Grim Reaper, Berserker, Porridge Eater, and Toy Army Man! Dwarf king quite cool too Edited October 28, 2016 by VaderFan2187 EDIT: change of words in one section Quote
Borex Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 I'll take Parrot guy, Ice Cream woman, Grim Reaper and the Sci-fi classic spacewoman (maybe she would be even better with a short cape). The only thing i wanted to say about the Grim Reaper is that i think his face has lost a bit of the lego feel, but it would probably look real good if real. Quote
jonwil Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 If these existed I would buy the Gymnast, Town Crier, Crossing Guard, Harpist, Galactic Traveler, Southern Businessman, Lifesaver Guy, Skydiver Girl, Architect, Giraffe Suit Guy (I have a thing for Giraffes), Organ Grinder, Piper and Robotics Engineer from Series A. From series B I would buy the Holiday Elf Girl, Rodeo Clown, Cinephile, Paranormal Investigator, Lake Fisherman, Gondolier, Rapper Girl, Teacher and Referee. From Series C I would buy the banker, Green Boxer, Hipster (I think the shoulder bag would be even better is a new color like black than the tan you have shown it in), Country Music Singer, Crime Scene Investigator, Sensai, Kayaker, Ski Patrol and Toymaker. And from Series D I would buy the 80s girl, baker, porridge eater, galactic explorer, toy army man, cheerleader guy, toddler, sand boarder, Lawyer, Virtual Reality Gamer and Ice Cream Girl. Its a pitty 2 slots of 2017 are taken up by crappy Batman and NinjaGo figures rather than the good non-licensed CMFs :( Quote
koalayummies Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 I would like to see your minifigure designs become reality more than I want a lot of the official collectable mini figs. You are a minifigure idea and graphic design prodigy. This last group is incredibly strong! Quote
Robert8 Posted October 30, 2016 Author Posted October 30, 2016 (edited) Thank you for you comments. I'm glad you liked them About the Grim Reaper, I suspect he will appear in the CMF line as a trick or treater, just to tone it down. Similar to the Cuttle Little Devil being a costume instead of the actual Devil Something like this, peharps..... But he would look like a cultist without the accessories Edited October 30, 2016 by Robert8 Quote
Eggyslav Posted October 30, 2016 Posted October 30, 2016 Well, they already made a walking corpse (four times!), A Warrior of a Mezoamerican Indigenous People, who were known to mass-murder people to appease their gods, A member of spanish expedition who conquered and enslaved said People in a most brutal of ways, not one, but two Bloodsucking Wights of Middle European Lore, A Greek Bull-headed monster that ate young people, including children, Two female individuals connotated with occultism and Devil Worship, three (counting Swashbuckler four) criminals operating on high sea, one of which is a reanimated corpse, a man-eating plant, with terrified face of it's victim, visible through it's maw (that's seriously gruesome), a male and female scandinavian brigand known to terrorize northern coasts of medieval Europe, two clinically insane men of science playing god, a member of a mafia, many wanted criminals from different time periods, two murderous robots, two reanimated amalgams of dead body parts, AND. THREE. CLOWNS. A symbolic personification of the end of human life doesn't seem more scary as the other minifigs now, don't they? Especially, since there already was a Grim Reaper-esque minifig: Quote
